The time has come to test out the newest Call of Duty game! Yep, the Black Ops 6 Beta is now live for Xbox Game Pass members and pre-order purchasers - and we've got quite a lot of time to get stuck into this chunk of the game's multiplayer offering.
In total, Game Pass players have more than a week to play this beta across two time periods - all of which is explained in our handy Black Ops 6 Beta guide. The essential info is that it's live now, and the whole beta period eventually ends on September 9th.
It's important to note that this beta focuses solely on multiplayer - there's no campaign or Zombies content available here. That's all coming on October 25th, when the full version of Black Ops 6 launches on Xbox Game Pass.
Anyway, we hope you all enjoy your time with the beta, but if you're not convinced just yet, we'll throw a link to the game's latest multiplayer trailer down below.
Will you be playing this on Xbox Game Pass? Tell us your weekend plans down in the comments!

My plans for after work and my three day weekend is mostly to play the cod beta to death.
Good thing I work from home because the one thing I know about the call of duty app is the updates/downloads can be a major headache to sort through. Starting that crap now.
Update: surprisingly easy process to get in the beta. 6.5gb update and restarted the app a couple times then it was right into the training course.
@BacklogBrad Great stuff! See you out there on the battlefield...
I will check it out as I have always preferred the Black Ops series over MW. Hopefully this game won't be a mess like the last 3 CoD games with campers and doors and getting punished for moving around the map.
Had a few matches and I'm getting really bad freezing and stuttering and now it's just crashed anyone else having this happen?.
Loving it so far. Except the scuz map (think that’s the babes), I hate it lol
@Rangers420
on PC? it's running perfect on mine
@Tasuki (As I set up my camping gear...)
Great so far. I like the diving and sprinting in all directions. It feels great and doesn't destroy the balance like i feared.
Basically no issues on Series X playing the beta. One of the smoother betas for COD, so far at least.
And very surprised how good the movement changes are, especially strafing into a total opposite direction slide cancel and peak a corner. Gameplay improvements really should have been done 5-10 years ago. Seems like a long time coming. Feels more like the Black Ops 2 we should have gotten on 360 as far as gameplay.
Likely one of the first CODs I buy in many years, not just rent.
No issues on PC, and the first call of duty game where i didnt have crashes, strange bugs at the start. So yeah, job well done.
@Cheesyman I'm on Xbox it seems to only freeze and crash on Skyline the other 2 maps are OK.
Lol, I can’t even do the training. No idea how to sprint right and jump/slide….whatever I do doesn’t seem to work.
