Team17 has announced a new preview program for its online FPS Hell Let Loose, which is on Xbox Game Pass at the time of writing. The program is open now for Xbox Insiders, and it includes some handy features like a server browser and more.
This preview program works like those 'player test builds' you see for lots of ongoing multiplayer titles. Often these are exclusive to the PC version, but they've started to appear on Xbox in recent years, with Hell Let Loose continuing this trend.
"We are delighted to invite Xbox Insiders on Xbox Series X|S consoles to join the Hell Let Loose Update Preview. Team17 is working on new and exciting features for this epic World War II, first person shooter and would love for you to try them out and get your feedback! To participate in the Hell Let Loose Update Preview, you will need to either own Hell Let Loose OR have access to the title via an active Game Pass subscription.
Join the preview today and Xbox Insiders will be able to use the console server browser! This will allow you to select and join any server you want from the Enlist menu. This means that you have more control over what maps you play and who you play with."
Accessing this is pretty standard if you've ever used the Xbox Insider program before - Microsoft used it for those old Halo Infinite Flight tests and things like that. Anyway, if you haven't dabbled with it before, here's how to access the Hell Let Loose preview program:
- Sign-in on your Xbox Series X|S console and launch the Xbox Insider Hub app (or install the Xbox Insider Hub from the Store first if necessary)
- Navigate to Previews > Hell Let Loose
- Select Join
- Wait for the registration to complete and be directed to the Store and install Hell Let Loose
Will you be joining this to test Hell Let Loose updates early? Tell us down below!

My whole experience on Hell Let Loose. Crawled down a ditch for a couple of minutes to try to flank around a bunker. Get by it unseen. Poke my head out of the dtich in some bushes for 2 secs to look where the bunker is. Gets shot from someone across the map. Quit & deleted the game instantly...
@JamesOtown even though it's one of the games that I have played the most since it released on xbox, I must say that I understand you. It has a learning curve and it's for a certain type of person. But with a good team on comms it is one of the most thrilling and exciting games ever. It's not perfect but it has a lot to offer for people that want a more mature take on the FPS genre
