It's Official! Call Of Duty: MW3 Joins Xbox Game Pass This Wednesday

Is this one worth getting in to or should I wait for the others? I haven't played CoD since maybe Black Ops 2 (I think I only played a mission or two). I really only care about the campaign or anything else single player.

Talk about an awesome birthday present from Xbox! (my 25th birthday is tomorrow!)

Shame its arguably one of the worst CoDs on record...Be a lot better if we got the original MW3 tbh 🙂

I expect this is the beginning of Microsoft adding big games to try and justify game pass’s price jump. This is a good start, but it doesn’t really make me want to renew my subscription after I turned it off just before the price increase. If they can really get the ball rolling and add more high value games from the activision blizzard backlogs, I guess I would consider returning

It's Call of Duty Modern Warfare III. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is the 2011 game. Good to see previous games coming!

Hope everyone has 140+ GB of storage (and thats just for campaign, warzone beefs it up another 10-20 GB. I enjoyed playing this series but the install size is out of control and I'm not uninstalling everything else to play a single online shooter. Boggles the mind.

I see people complaining all over that it's not one of the older ones. This is the one Microsoft can monetize, it's still getting seasons, and the multiplayer is very well populated. So it was always obvious they would bring MWIII first.

Game Pass for Console isn't even available anymore in my region. So just Ultimate I guess.

I will try the multiplayer if the Marvel Rivals beta doesn't hook me today. Other than that, I'm not bothered; by all accounts the campaign is arse and I haven't played the prior MW games so I'd have even less of a clue about what's going on.

@Banjo- It bugs me no end as well. But people are lazy or don't understand Roman numerals, so like Fraser said, outlets have to cater to what people search for.

And PX really goes hard on the SEO. It's the reason almost every headline on news articles, polls, reviews and pretty much anything else on PX contains the words "Xbox" or "Game Pass"; it potentially gets those articles in front of people making blanket searches.

Good news for people that want it. I probably won’t download it just because it’s gigantic and don’t have the space. But it’s already been an awesome month for GP so I’m quite happy.

If I can install multiplayer only and it's under 100GB (it should be less than 50GB to be honest) then I'll give it a go. Recent editions of multiplayer COD has been fun but the install sizes are out of control, talk about developers either lacking talent or respect for who pays their bills. Almost all other developers know how to compress files in arguably much larger games with better graphical fidelity etc than COD multiplayer.

gamepass wont have an xcloud streaming version because if you remember ubisoft own the COD cloud streaming rights

Sweet I'll give it a go have some space on the hard drive considering I'm only playing Elden ring lately and haven't bought anything new. I haven't properly played cod since the 360 days I say the servers will be packed tomorrow!

They added literally the worst cod before any of the others.

I went to check the details on Gamepass and wow, the file size is huge. I would have to uninstall so much for a game that I would probably only play once in a while. File sizes are getting ridiculous.

It's a shame you can't play of external hard drives. I know why but the internal memory isn't enough, I brought a internal storage card but I still run out of space.

Looking forward to it, haven’t played any of the CoD campaigns since XB360.

Would love to see some of the early CoDs given a resolution boost but that’s just wishful thinking. Hopefully plenty more ABK games to be added to Gamepass over the coming months - and not before time.

I played the single player campaign through fairly quickly and it was good fun. It was far too sparse though. Multiplayer is better.
Well worth it on Game Pass. Never a 70 quid game though. Never.
Let’s hope we start to see the full suite of COD games sooner rather than later.

To try and get ahead of the large download size, I have started the download of Call of Duty from the store. I guess this is the hub?
It gave me the option to download the extra files packs for MWII too. Does this mean I have access to it?

Bought this like a month ago. Haven't touched campaign but the online is excellent. Definitely worth a download

@Markatron84 Excellent choice 🤣. Much better than mine, because Final Fantasy always displays Roman numerals and it's a prolific series.

I heard the campaign was pretty good so have been eagerly awaiting it. I don't play the toxic online nonsense so would never buy full price. Excited to try it out. I have the previous Modern Warfare's and looking forward to see the story developments.

To those who haven't touched the series since BO2 - you're in for a big surprise, expect a confusing install system, menu and if you want a cool operator+gun skin - to spend around 15$ for one
The campaign is quite good in some parts!
The online is as sweaty as ever, but great maps and pretty good fun.
(I'm also quite new to the series after many years since BO2 and COD4)

I think it was a "we've put the price up... and everyone is moaning - we best get our arse moving and put on a COD game"

I might download it to play the story mode as they're usually good for a few hours of cinematic fun; I couldn't care less about multiplayer. Though I'm hoping that Vanguard gets added at some point as I prefer the WWII setting over the modern day.

I wonder if the whole series will get added at once, or bit by bit, or only a couple will make it to GP as they mightn't not really care about the older titles any more.

@PhileasFragg Vanguard is my favorite since World at War. Love the atmosphere and witty humor of the characters. I also like the zombies mode. You can try multiplayer with bots. It's lots of fun.

MW3 is the 'latest' CoD and so it has the most support right now in terms of 'Online'. Season 5 is just about to launch with its new Season Pass and new Seasonal Content dropping, new events etc. If they dropped 'MW2' for example, that wouldn't be supported with the new Season Pass or 'events'...

As far as its Single Player, its arguably the worst in a while. Its clearly intended as DLC to MW2 but at some point was decided to release as a 'full' game and so this is 'weak'.

Each to their own of course, but I think its the weakest CoD for a while, but its also the most supported right now. Without Season Pass Support and all the 'timed' events, there is something lacking from even MW2 now.

It makes sense to offer MW3 as the 'new' season starts so can possibly sell more season passes etc before BO6 launches.

The campaign for this is ***** probably the worst there's been in a CoD game multiplayer isn't much better. Wish it was Black Ops 2 or the og MW 3.

Wow, haha nice it was finally announced. Am currently replaying MW2 remastered on PlayStation and nearly caved into buying MW3 for the old multiplayer maps.

@FarmDog08 I thought the campaign was great. Just as good as other COD campaigns. Not sure what all the bad reviews were for. And it was the only COD campaign that I ever played twice.
