It looks like Crystal Dynamics could be reviving the 1999 action-adventure Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver and its sequel.
At San Diego Comic-Con this week, statues referencing 'Legacy of Kain I & II Remastered' have been spotted on display. This follows Dark Horse Comics announcing the comic book 'Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver - The Dead Shall Rise'.
The statues above are scheduled to arrive at some point in August according to an official comment, with more information to be revealed soon. So, perhaps we might hear an announcement about possible video game remasters in the immediate future.
Although the Soul Reaver games weren't released on Xbox back in the day, they were both made available across multiple platforms at the time including Windows. Crystal Dynamics' Tomb Raider 1-3 Remaster was also released earlier this year on the Xbox, and the developer is currently working with The Initiative on the new Perfect Dark game.

Hopefully it's true but it's been so long the games would probably be crap by today's standards but I can half remember enjoying them before probably on the PS1 ha a lifetime ago
Like I said over on NL. Love the games. Will be supporting this big time.
Buy the way, todays standards be ….
Hopefully they're more than straightforward remasters, as the games are well over 25 years old, and HOPEFULLY Sony hasn't paid them to put the games on every electronic device on earth except for Xbox lol
Despite loving LoK and Soul Reaver 1 I never actually played the sequel or any others. I blame the fade to black and To Be Continued at the end of the first game just as it was heating up to an epic finale.
I've had some interest in the Legacy of Kain games, but Steam doesn't have the original Blood Omens or Soul Reaver. If we get remasters that make all of the games available, I'd probably pick them up.
@InvaderFromSpace GOG has the original Legacy of Kain and is on sale right now for less than $2. In fact, it has all the LoK games except for the first Soul Reaver.
However, none of the games services have Soul Reaver. Square Enix pulled it from stores for whatever reason a while back, then sold them off to Embracer. So it's essentially just been in limbo on PC until somebody at Eidos/Crystal Dynamics or Embracer decides to re-release it.
Hopefully this rumor is true.
