Microsoft Releases Dynamic 'Blades' Background To Mark Xbox 360 Store Closure

Microsoft has delivered its final update on the status of the Xbox 360 Store prior to its closure on July 29th, and the update comes with a little surprise for Xbox Series X|S owners.

The big news here is that the team has released a brand-new dynamic background for Xbox Series X and S users, and it features that classic Xbox 360 Blades theme we all know and love. Here's a short clip of the background in action:

Now, many of us have been waiting for one final batch of Xbox 360 digital games to go on sale today, and sure enough, Xbox has updated its list of all the discounts. However, we've had a bit of a browse through it, and nothing appears to have been added to the sale since our last update in June, which is obviously a disappointment!

Finally, the Xbox Gear Store has also been updated - bringing back a selection of Xbox 360-themed merchandise to celebrate the classic console. The 360 storefront shuts down for good on July 29th, and we'll drop a link to the final list of Xbox 360 store sales down below.
