We've got some breaking news about the Halo TV Show, with Paramount+ announcing it's officially cancelling the series after two seasons.
Here is the official Paramount+ statement about the cancellation of its Halo series (via The Hollywood Reporter):
“We are extremely proud of this ambitious series and would like to thank our partners at Xbox, 343 Industries and Amblin Television, along with showrunner and executive producer David Wiener, his fellow executive producers, the entire cast led by Pablo Schreiber as Master Chief and the amazing crew for all their outstanding work. We wish everyone the best going forward.”
Although the Halo series is being axed by Paramount, it might not be over just yet. According to the source, Amblin Television, Xbox and 343 Industries are reportedly looking for "another outlet" to secure the series for a third season run. Paramount+ is believed to be supportive of this idea.
The Halo streaming series originally made its debut back in 2022 and while it didn't always match the expectations of the fanbase, it apparently went on to become the most-watched premiere and also one of the most-watched streaming series on Paramount+.
This latest news about the Halo series follows Paramount signing a multi-billion-dollar merger with Skydance Media last week after ongoing financial troubles.
