The Forza Horizon series has been a consistent performer for Xbox over the past decade or so, and with the help of Xbox Game Pass, the last two entries in particular have been incredibly popular. Forza Horizon 5, the team's latest effort, just keeps on trucking - and Playground Games has now seen over 40 million players take to the open roads of Horizon Mexico.
The Xbox developer has achieved this feat in just over two and a half years, with them speeding along to 34 million in roughly two years last October. Here's proof of the team's latest milestone:
While Microsoft's subscription service will of course be a big driver here, the near-constant cadence of high quality updates will no doubt help draw people in as well. DLC is still coming out too - last month saw a star-studded cast of new cars arrive in the form of the Forza Horizon 5 Universal Icons Car Pack.
Anyway, huge props to Playground for making this racing series an attractive one even for the most casual of digital drivers, and long may its popularity continue. It'll be Forza Horizon 6 time soon enough, folks!

Still waiting on my Forza horizon 4 code just saying 🤬💩🤦
@Ricky-Spanish I'm beginning to think I'm not getting one.
Not surprising considering the recent everything must go sale, and the fact FH5 is still Xbox best racer. Due to FM being a massive disappointment considering the development time.
I played this quite a bit and bought both of the main expansions but unfortunately due to limited time to play games and so much on Game Pass I haven't played in some time now. It was my first FH game and I really enjoyed my time with it
Halo Infinite swept the legs out of FH5 and killed its momentum for me. I've revisited over the last few years and recently have been playing near-daily. FH5 is a fantastic game.
Played FH5 once a week with friends for years until after the 2nd expansion, great game.
This is still my go-to game (100% every season is still fun for me) and love the fact they are still introducing new & interesting cars (and new evolving world stuff) to the Franchise.
Regularly see new people enjoying the franchise! The price of the licensed Universal Icon car pack is way too steep though.
A lot of former FH devs, founded Maverick Games, are very ambitious to make a more story-driven AAA game with publisher Amazon Games. The lead writer is Jamie Brittain (not familiar with the Skins series but he worked on that + was a co-creator).
Interesting article about him:

Having the physical UE of FH4, it would've been nice to get that digital copy once it is delisted. Hopefully the disc keeps working for some time.
@Markatron84 If by October I haven’t received my code I’m gonna start asking around in support so that I can have time to buy it if Microsoft tells us yet another “f*ck you” and doesn’t deliver the codes.
