The Forza Horizon series has been a consistent performer for Xbox over the past decade or so, and with the help of Xbox Game Pass, the last two entries in particular have been incredibly popular. Forza Horizon 5, the team's latest effort, just keeps on trucking - and Playground Games has now seen over 40 million players take to the open roads of Horizon Mexico.
The Xbox developer has achieved this feat in just over two and a half years, with them speeding along to 34 million in roughly two years last October. Here's proof of the team's latest milestone:
While Microsoft's subscription service will of course be a big driver here, the near-constant cadence of high quality updates will no doubt help draw people in as well. DLC is still coming out too - last month saw a star-studded cast of new cars arrive in the form of the Forza Horizon 5 Universal Icons Car Pack.
Anyway, huge props to Playground for making this racing series an attractive one even for the most casual of digital drivers, and long may its popularity continue. It'll be Forza Horizon 6 time soon enough, folks!
