There's been so much happening today at the Xbox Games Showcase that Stalker 2 has kinda been overlooked, but it still remains one of the most highly-anticipated Xbox Game Pass titles of 2024 - especially after watching this trailer.
And yes, Stalker 2 is still scheduled to launch on September 5th, 2024 for Series X, Series S and PC!
"The Zone is what you consider it to be. I've shown you how I see it. Walk your own path, and you will come to perceive the Zone in your own way. Featuring a huge, borderless open-world and a non-linear story, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl releases on Xbox Series X|S and PC on September 5, 2024. The game will be available day one with Xbox Game Pass."

The first Stalker was more of an immersive sim and had a lot of RPG elements. I hope they retain that here. The Metro games (different dev? same?) were really just action games.
I am monumentally excited for this. One of the highlights of the showcase for me. The moment I saw "GSC Game World" right at the beginning of the footage, I just cracked a smile.
i guess this is the next big gp game. no wow, no cod games. whats up with that? phil where are you?
@jesse_dylan A lot of us "more hardcore" gamers are a dying breed. Traditional RPG mechanics are going the way of the dodo bird. I expect it to be simplified for mass market appeal
@CallMeDuraSouka Bummer. I hope not. Luckily there is so much other stuff to play... Even just Game Pass alone has kept me so busy this year that I haven't even played Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth or Unicorn Overlord yet, despite buying both (with my free Microsoft Rewards money wooo)
