We've got a few more games to add to this week's Xbox deals, as a new Activision Blizzard sale has just kicked off on the Xbox Store featuring a bunch of titles from the Call of Duty, Crash Bandicoot and Diablo franchises in particular.
Something to keep in mind here is that the sale runs until June 8th, which is exactly one day before the Xbox Games Showcase takes place on Sunday, June 9th. We're expecting at least a few Activision Blizzard titles to be added to Xbox Game Pass around that date, so it may be worth holding off if you're an XGP subscriber.
We've picked out some of the highlights from the Xbox Activision Blizzard sale down below, and you can find the full list by heading to the "Deals" section of the Microsoft Store app on your Xbox (look for the "Activision Blizzard Sale" tab).
The following Xbox offers are expected to remain available until Saturday, June 8th.

They are just trying to get sales before all are added to Game Pass at the showcase. I can't see them getting many sales now or in the future. Hopefully Game Pass is sustainable without price rises.
Let's face it we are all waiting can't believe it's taken so long and just saw one game. It's about time Xbox players saw the benefits.
@Kooky_Geezer EXACTLY! Almost certainly these are coming to Game Pass soon. Shadow drop after Keigh-3?
I suspect that some of the Activision Blizzard games are going to be added to Game Pass right after the Xbox Games Showcase.
I've decided to count all the games I have and they sit around 815 games through all platforms. Add to that the 500+ games from GPU sub. I really have more than enough to play...
...and yet I want to buy more games lol 🤣
Obviously these are likely to be coming to Game Pass in the very near future so makes sense to offer them for 'sale' prices before they are added.
It's been expected that these would come to Game Pass ever since MS announced their intention to buy and I doubt many would rush out to 'buy' in a Sale if they have Game Pass AND hoped to access these through that Subscription.
Those that don't Subscribe though could well be tempted and those who may prefer to 'own' their License too. I think I'll wait for the few games I don't own to come to GP and then decide whether to buy with the extra GP discount or not. Nothing I 'need' to buy right now...
@Foxx_64740 I'm subscribed to Game Pass since the first day and now it's much better than I could imagine. Actually, we didn't know if it was going to succeed and only 100 games were guaranteed, but look at it now, with all these new Xbox Game Studios and third-party gems like Persona 3 Reloaded on top of that. Plus, the digital sales are very good, so I also have bought hundreds of games. I alternate between new and old games.
ms and activision make a good greedy combo huh.
Drop the games already this is a joke!
@Banjo- Yeah, I've only had my xbox for just over 3 years now and I'm still working my way through the GamePass catalogue. It's allowed me to check out games I wouldn't normally buy or bother with... so hoping most on that list make an appearance.
It's unfortunate that almost none of these are on Game Pass yet. Maybe they'll be added after showcase. I may wait for that reason.
I already own all the Activision stuff I would want like crash, spyro, thps. Would have bought sekiro if it was on there. I really hope ms don't just push cod and nothing else with this deal.
Watch for a new tier in GP though to cash in on these “premium” titles - super ultimate? The only reason not added already was that they are up to something nefarious….
Why doesn’t crash racing have a next gen upgrade with cross play Phil
@Banjo- I'm right there with you. Gamepass ultimate has given me the ability to play games I would've NEVER gone out and bought. It's completely expanded my horizons especially as far as indie titles are concerned. Even though I'm subscribed to XGPU I still purchase new games that aren't on the service and even some games that are on the service for example I own Diablo 4, Star Wars Jedi Survivor, Dead Island 2 & Starfield. I still love owning games & gamepass just adds even more value to the Xbox ecosystem for me personally. In fact, I've been purchasing most 3rd party games on Xbox instead of PlayStation lately mainly because I've found better prices on Xbox (CD keys also). Also the fact that everything I bought on 360 & Xbox One was there for me immediately when I got my Series X|S consoles is just amazing. Anyways, gamepass is brilliant and Xbox is awesome! Can't wait for June 9th ✌️
@Master_Cthulhu70 I know, right? One benefits the other. You can try games on Game Pass, it makes purchases more optional and reliable and the whole collection of temporary and owned games is as large as you want. The last game I beat on Game Pass was the first Hellblade, yesterday. A game I would have never bought because it didn't look my thing and that I loved. I have also tried games that I didn't like much. Not owning them makes easier to give them up. There is much negativity around Xbox, but most comes from PS "enthusiasts". I'm enjoying a lot my time on Xbox and getting excited about what's to come.
They need to fix the exploits first and get rid of the hackers. There is no reason to play the older CoD games till they do. No way am I going to put my console/account at risk not matter how bad I want to play Blops 2 again.
Fair sale but it's no BC games they haven't offered yet. Till they do I don't care. Give me Pitfall (where is the TR/Indy competition), TimeShift, Prototype they have a sale yet my disk doesn't work on Xbox One so how is it a sale unless 360 eshop? Works fine on 360 just why a sale for both if they aren't BC? Or is it a regional BC thing if so why?
Blur (I know car licenses), Geometry Wars or others, even older CODs from COD Classic to Big Red One, Finest Hour and 2 or 3, I'm still waiting.
