Xbox Unveils New Hellblade 2 Dynamic Background For Series X|S

Do the people making these "Dynamic" backgrounds not realize that they are in NO WAY dynamic and most of them are pretty stupid? If they meant to do something interesting, they failed miserably...

Everyone at Ninja Theory must be worried about their job as even having a well received and award winning game isn't enough. No job security at Microsoft where staff get sacked at a moments notice. They will struggle to get new staff when needed.

Makes you wonder why Tameem left very quietly seems like something else has gone wrong in the background for Xbox. Another sign of poor management and he decided to leave a sinking ship.

Why don't they release some more game play or actually start to advertise it?

@Decoy_Snake Xbox management letting it die seems they are looking for an excuse to close another studio.

I've seen indie games with better marketing.

@Kooky_Geezer I am genuinely worried about Ninja Theory & ID to be honest with you, seen more marketing for Sea Of Thieves on PS5 than anything that's been put for Xbox.

@Decoy_Snake That's the end goal to kill their own platform it seems. More interested in PS5 as games actually sell only chasing money.

No need to advertise a game when so called gamers wont even buy it anyways. I pre-ordered Hellblade 2 because i actually support the devs. If people actually buy games then maybe tango wouldn't have closed. Meatascores dont pay the bills

@ConsoleGamer86 To be fair that's on Xbox for creating Game Pass. People will take the cheapest option when available.

If it's not sustainable then they shouldn't have spent billions on studios just to shut them down.

@Decoy_Snake they have already shown it like 4 times. It's only a 6 hour game, how much more can they reveal without spoiling it?

I think they learned from redfall not to over market the second tier of games so heavily (or in redfalls case pretend like it's the big tier). This is a niche title.

Also marketing is the biggest expense besides human workers, if they are in cutting mode then might as well be advertisements and not people that get cut.

@ConsoleGamer86 Funny that the majority of those users had not posted anything about Tango and Ninja Theory's games until now and likely haven't bought nor played them on Game Pass. They haven't commented anything on any of the dozens of articles and threads about those games.

@BacklogBrad 4 times in 4 years is hardly a lot. One of them was a demo to show off the "power" of Series X, one was her looking into a puddle and then you had a couple of game play trailers that lasted about 9 minutes in total. Not advertising a game is putting it out to die, to use Redfall as an example when they were showing it off with a section of gameplay that didn't represent the final product was that games biggest downfall not it being advertised.

@ConsoleGamer86 actually you cannot accumulate a Gamepass subscription more than 3 years, so... (or maybe you bought a lot of giftcards to be prepared for a zombie apocalypse).
All this talk and articles again and again about xbox closing this and that, industry crashing, the end of games in the world and stuff...can we just play games and comment about games themselves? (we all know neither of us haven't finished our backlog yet)
If MS eliminates Xbox from earth tomorrow I'll play on a PS, if PS ends I'll play on Switch and then on PC, on mobile and whatever platforms available. Games are toys and only that, when a toy breaks we buy another, simple as that.
That's why the articles "What are you playing this weekend?" have so few comments, the so-called 'gamers' are more worried reading news than playing. Nice gaming folks!

This site's commentators are the worst. Like 1up back in the day. Bunch of fanboys for other consoles come trolling in when a cool background gets dropped or else it's people hating on a nice thing for fans smh

My feeling is that the gamer community as a whole is becoming worse. I guess I'm going to leave the internet for a while and only play my games. I come here everyday to see articles about games (reviews, new games coming and stuff) but gaming media has become something else and the articles I appreciate are becoming scarce.

@Foxx_64740 True, unfortunately. I take long breaks, too. I prefer to enjoy games. When I play on my Series X, I see players busy and having fun. You have a look here or elsewhere and it's like the end of the world, a daily drama and disproportionate reactions to the latest piece of news, a delayed game as if they had nothing else to play, a dynamic background or a marginal UI feature. Everything turns into Xbox is doomed.

meeeh i'm sick of the so called gaming community. I'll buy and play my games on whatever platform i want and support the dev too. Not hiding behind the never ending backlog or the 1% internet bs.

Personally, I keep playing the old school way as I'm waiting for a physical edition to buy.

I bought the first Hellblade, like that. Just after having played it on Gamepass. And i'll do the same for the second one if it ever comes to physical.

Also, I'm waiting for that Limited Run Hi Fi Rush edition. But now I'm tempted to get it on PS5, over Xbox, just because reasons...
