Well, we finally have a full launch date for Ubisoft's XDefiant! The Xbox Series X|S shooter, which has gone through multiple rounds of testing over the last year or so, is finally launching on May 21st, 2024.
Originally expected to release in 2023, the free-to-play FPS just went through a huge server test on Xbox this past month - with the game re-appearing from something of a hiatus. Anyway, the full version is now right around the corner, with Ubisoft dropping a fresh teaser clip for the upcoming launch down below.
As for what you can expect to be playing on release, the team has announced that the game's 'pre-season' content will include 24 weapons, 14 maps, 5 factions and 5 game modes - with more to come across four future seasons. Here, take a look at what's available in XDefiant on day one, and also what's coming in future:

Shortly after April's XDefiant server test wrapped up, we put pen-to-virtual-paper on how impressed we were with Ubisoft's free-to-play CoD-like. We'll drop a link to those thoughts down below - see if we can tempt you into trying the full release!
Excited for the full version of XDefiant? Let us know if you're playing on day one!

Might be a good game but as I don’t play these types of games … will never know
I really don't think anyone should be spending money on a ubisoft live service game right now
I am ready. We once again will get a proper CoD game.
Not to be too morbid but people should enjoy this one while the servers are still online.
Okay, cant wait to try it out.
What I played was fun, very close to old cod, if ubisoft support it like they did with Rainbow 6 siege it could be huge
Yay!!! Finally! Excited for this to finally come out!
It's free to play so I'll give it a go, but being a Ubi live service game will definitely put me off spending money on any additional stuff for it.
I am actually looking forward to trying this.
