In case you missed it, MultiVersus is back! The Super Smash Bros. style brawler officially relaunched on Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S earlier today, and it's entirely free to download on the Xbox Store right now.
Since it previously closed down back in early 2023, the game has received a massive number of improvements including Unreal Engine 5 integration, new characters and stages, and a brand-new campaign mode.
We actually went hands-on with the campaign mode prior to this relaunch:
It's still early days, so we're not sure how MultiVersus will fare with the Xbox masses just yet, but it seems like it's going to prove pretty popular. There's plenty of content to get stuck into without spending any money as well!
So, if you've had a chance to try MultiVersus today, let us know how you're getting on with in the comments section below. Will it be able to topple XDefiant for the #1 spot in the Xbox free-to-play charts? We'll have to wait and see...

No thank you
I'm allergic to money sucking LIVE-SERVICE games.
I downloaded it last week and decided to delete it again on Sunday. I doubt I’ll play it again.
I'd just do the log-in bonuses for now if you're just on the fence; for 2 Days you'll get the Banana Guard free and for 3 & 11 you'll get Skins for Velma & Superman respectively. Sadly it's a reverse SS Kill the Justice League, where they didn't expect that many people to be interested so it's pretty scuffed online rn. There's also the Rift Mode you could do solo or with a Friend though. If you played Smash Ultimate it's like a watered down World of Light.
