PlayStation's 'State of Play' just wrapped up and one of the third-party highlights was a first look at the gameplay in Monster Hunter Wilds, a title previously confirmed for a 2025 release on Xbox Series X|S.
Over on the PlayStation blog there's another round up of what players can expect from this new entry in the long-running series including - changing environments, a "believable ecosystem of monsters", ultimate hunting action (including 14 iconic weapon types) and a deep story.
"Monster Hunter Wilds, coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC/Steam in 2025. An immersive story full of new faces, monsters, and an evolved array of hunting abilities await you in a living ecosystem, where no two hunts are ever the same."
In addition to this first official trailer, Capcom also revealed existing Monster Hunter: World and Iceborne players will be able to unlock some special bonuses including Palico armour and weapon sets.
Capcom shared a separate "message from the developers" featuring the game's producer and director/art director discussing the first trailer. It's also confirmed another new trailer featuring a new monster will be revealed at Summer Game Fest in June.
