Following a rumour about Lords of the Fallen coming to Xbox Game Pass this month, we seem to have confirmation of that particular title and another from publisher CI Games joining the library soon. As picked up by Polish business site Bankier, Microsoft appears to have agreed to bring two of the team's titles to Xbox Game Pass.
Those two games are the aforementioned Lords Of The Fallen, and 2021 first-person shooter Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2. The agreement puts a '2024' timeline on the two titles coming to the service, with specific dates not disclosed in the public version of the document.
As we mentioned though, last week's LOTF rumour claimed that the game was coming in the last week of May 2024, and this is the first we've heard about the new Sniper Ghost Warrior addition as of now. We'll have to wait and see when exactly they both come to the Game Pass library.
While Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2's 2021 launch feels like a distant memory here at PX HQ, last year's Lords of the Fallen release is much fresher. To read up on critics' thoughts of the recent soulslike, check out the roundup down below - while you wait for its seemingly imminent Xbox Game Pass arrival!
Excited for both of these to come to Xbox Game Pass, if this is all accurate? Drop your thoughts in the comments down below.

Lords of the Fallen looks cool and look forward to trying it out.
I love a good soulslike, which is weird because I'm TERRIBLE at them. I have no reflexes or patience. My dream game is a Castlevania soulslike that I'll suck at but will love lol
I love the ghost warrior series and have been meaning to check out lords of the fallen. I'm excited for both of these to be in GP. Solid pickups.
An absolute joke. Just as they’ve patched the game into a playable state they add it to Game Pass. What a slap in the face to early purchasers, like myself. We’ve just paid to be their beta testers. Sure you can say that for a lot of games these days, but this game in particular was a complete disgrace at launch - and for months afterwards. My opinion of CI Games has sunk dramatically. It will take unanimous praise in reviews for me to even contemplate giving them a second chance with their next game. Lesson well and truly learnt the hard way.
@Cakefish
Not gonna comment on the state of the game as haven’t played it, but a game being added to Game Pass after having purchased it is always a risk when you sub to Game Pass and continue buying games. I still buy plenty of games and have subbed to Game Pass 3 years running and it’s happened to me on many occasions. It just is what it is.
@RIghteousNixon yes it’s happened to me several times before, but this case is so egregious because of the horrendous technical mess the game was at launch and stayed in for many months afterwards. The game has only become decently playable very recently. They really disrespected people like me who bought in early. Lesson learnt, CI Games cannot be trusted. They’re going to have to work very hard with their next game to earn any trust back from me.
@Cakefish
Yeah, unfortunately that seems to be happening more and more these days. I learned that lesson with Cyberpunk. Bought it at launch and actually just got around to playing it like 4 months back due to waiting for the game to be properly fixed. And while I played Starfield and enjoyed it thoroughly, it will be a better game when the DLC launches than when I played it. Unfortunately, I think it’s best to just wait and buy games a few months down the road, at least, to see what state the game is in at launch. Patience seems to reward gamers more and more these days.
Nice, I actually enjoyed the first Lords Of The Fallen, so looking forward to checking out the reboot
@RIghteousNixon That’s certainly the lesson I’m taking away from this whole experience. Only dev I can trust to buy at launch now is From Software. And Nintendo, but that’s not relevant to Xbox. At least there was one soulslike success story in 2023. Lies of P is everything that I wish Lords of the Fallen was; it launched in a decent playable state, with relatively few bugs and performed great on XSX. It ended up being my GOTY of 2023.
Yeah, fair play Xbox, I'll be checking both out on PC.
Hooray. I posted before how Lords of the Fallen was a game I’ve been wanting to try but didn’t want to buy. Thank you Micheal Soft.
Oh F@#$ yeah LotF looks amazing, almost bought it a few times but it released in one of the most competitive windows I can ever remember.
@FatGuyInLilCoat yess found the other guy who enjoyed the first Lords of the Fallen!
@Cakefish Nintendo 😂😂😂 i still remember the condition the last pokemon games were. Thats how the games are these days. They take so much more to be made so they rush to release them. If you have problem with the bugs you can always wait a year and buy them cheaper and save more money because lots of them will be on gamepass at some point.
