Last month's Xbox Game Pass addition of Diablo 4 marked the first Activision Blizzard title to hit the service following Microsoft's acquisition of the company, and we've been eagerly awaiting the next ActiBlizz arrival ever since.
Fortunately, it looks like we won't be waiting too long! A PC version of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy has been added today on the Microsoft Store, likely indicating that the game is being readied for its PC and Xbox Game Pass inclusion.
Back in October of last year, Xbox boss Phil Spencer explained that he'd have loved to provide a full drop of Activision Blizzard titles on Xbox Game Pass immediately, but the complications surrounding the acquisition meant that more work needed to be done before the company's back catalogue could be integrated into the service.
With Spyro now available on PC, we're presuming that it's pretty much ready to go on XGP - and hopefully there might be a few additional titles in the same boat as well. It'd be great to see Crash Bandicoot on there in the near future too!

I only briefly played the first Spyro when it came out way back in the day. I really want to try the whole trilogy remastered.
These weren’t already on pc? That’s crazy!
If they are adding older games to more platforms then please, make GUN backward compatible ASAP.
They can keep trying but until we see older CODs, Pitfall Lost Expedition, TimeShift, Blur, Prototype or more why should I care.
If it's just Xbox One titles from Activision/Blizzard then eh pass no interest at all I'll stick to what copies I have then Xbox One BC support compatible copies.
Spyro, Crash and more are great but I mean eh not because played them even if I felt parts of the reworking for quality of life left Spyro 3 to just suck even if I don't like Spyro 3 much anyway originally. Starfish Sparx level done and the quality of life reward is available from the start/nothing to replace it just getting the gems/egg like come on. I know the game had rough development even with the delay but still. Replace it with something besides other little details and eh character weight modern games do suck.
That or Spyro 4 maybe but seeing as many 3D platformers by Indies are so generic I don't have my hopes up with eh minigame quests (I don't want 3D platformer open worlds/hubs they are getting boring. Yooka Laylee was fine but so many being Banjo/Mario/Spyro clones is getting really boring and the movesets suck) and eh abilities in many of them these days let alone oh a platformer I have sure played many times but have noticed the parts I don't like more and more to end up with Splatoon 2's campaign being one of the best in years I played recently and got around to for the first time for cheap.

I feel like if you haven't played or grabbed these XBO/PS4 Gen titles they'll be adding by this point you probably don't care that much. Diablo 4 I could understand maybe selling some Subs, but not stuff like this. If they drip feed these like Nintendo does their NSO titles people just aren't gonna care.
@Wizpig17 Spyro Reignited Trilogy has been on Steam since 2019, it just wasn't on the Xbox PC storefront until now. Very few games are on there; its library pales in comparison to the Xbox console store and if it weren't for Game Pass I would never launch the Xbox PC app.
Spyro 2 was my favourite childhood game
Got all 105 achievements/3000gs for this and loved every second. For those that haven’t played it - it’s a very good addition to Gamepass. But yea I assume most people have tried it already.
You know on Disney+ where they have Disney, Pixar, Star, Marvel, Star Wars and NatGeo as categories… Xbox is pretty much at that point where Gamepass can have XGS, Zenimax, ABK and then Third Party. Each being a massive selection.
Plus leave some space for when they acquire Sega and Square Enix (😉 Jk).
How hard is it to put PC games in the PC xbox store? Do they need to do something before they can put it there?
I'm not overly bothered about 'old' games finally coming to Game Pass now this whole Saga has concluded, I'm more interested in the future when 'new' games come. Its not as if I can't or couldn't play these games on Xbox IF I was 'excited' to play them before.
Looking forward to this one on game pass immensely.
@CutchuSlow You can't start a storefront, and just sell digital games from there. There needs to be a distribution agreement in place to allow you to sell them. So now MS has bought Activision they have the distribution rights to sell ActiBlizz games on the Xbox store.

Bought it a few years ago from Xbox store for my Series X when they released the remasters. It's also on sale atm with a massive discount. So are all the remastered Crash games.
Just gimme a remaster of Pitfall and River Raid.
When can spyro have a spin off where he’s older and the environment is so damn kiddy and he can actually fly regular this formula gets old quick
