As enjoyable as Xbox Cloud Gaming can be, it's still missing a few things that Xbox fans would love to take advantage of. Fortunately, a new third-party extension makes some of those possible - and it's "endorsed" by Microsoft!
This is known as "Better xCloud", and just some of the the big additions that it includes are local co-op support for certain titles, the ability to activate Mouse and Keyboard functionality, and Remote Play access within a browser.
All of this apparently works across most platforms including Windows, Android, iOS and even SteamOS, and you can get it via the "Better xCloud" official GitHub page where you'll find download links for the various versions.
In terms of whether it's safe, the creator does advise to "use it at your own risk", but also mentions that "xCloud devs endorsed Better xCloud before and confirmed they 'don't ban people for using a third party client or extension'."
So, if you're interested, it might be worth giving this a try! We'll throw the full list of highlights from "Better xCloud" down below, but once again keep in mind that this is a user-created tool, and is therefore not an official Xbox product.

Why can’t xcloud devs implement these options themselves?
In other news, iOS 17.4 launched this week which I believe allows for cloud gaming streaming apps to be on the App Store.
This is Awesome! Was always so annoying how many games didn't have touch controls. Especially slow-paced games that could've totally had it no problem. I can finally play Sea of Stars on my phone with touch controls!
@Artois2 right!! That haven’t don’t a single meaningful thing with the service since it came out.
They’ve been around long enough that they should be on par with what google stadia was doing, but xcloud remains lackluster.
This is good. I tried it out last night. I already have a 3rd party app which gives me 1080p remote play. But I really like having remote play and cloud in one interface. Also tried the clarity boost and the local co op. Well done to the creator.
Sounds like great people they want to hire
That sounds really good. The Mouse and Keyboard feature is particularly welcome as so many games support it on Xbox, but only a tiny minority of people have M&K plugged into their console, but it's NOT supported on Xcloud on PC where 99.99% of people have M&K.
This could mean I could even play games on my lunch break at work
