Yesterday, Microsoft delivered our latest Xbox Game Pass roundup - and a weird error occurred as the team announced what was coming in the first half of February. While the lineup is looking nice through February 20th, it could have been even better as Tales of Arise was initially listed as well before being removed!
Yep, we're not sure why, but Xbox Wire's heading initially listed Tales of Arise as one of these upcoming February titles. The game was never mentioned within the roundup article itself, and its mention has now been removed entirely. Here's evidence of its inclusion yesterday:

What happens from here is anyone's guess. Microsoft later described it as an "incorrect title" in a follow-up statement, so there's every chance that this could have been a total mistake. However, it could also be that Tales of Arise is planned for Xbox Game Pass; potentially for the back-half of February or later in the year.
Tales of Arise first launched on Xbox in 2021, so it's certainly been out there and on the market for a while at this stage. Of course, if we hear any more information on Tales of Arise coming to the library we'll let you know, but for now - take this as the case of the missing Game Pass title!
Are you hoping that Tales of Arise makes its way to Game Pass still? Let us know what you think down below.

I'll buy them as I think RPG's are too big for GP
@Vipor007 From a business point of view, large RPGs and games that make you play one more time like Brotato are what you want on Gamepass. Keep the punter renewing that monthly subscription…
@Kaloudz Every once in awhile something like this happens … I remember BG1 & 2 a few months back… fingers crossed it does
I know this sort of thing has happened before but can't remember if we ever saw the games on Game Pass. Wasn't CP2077 one of them? (Hazy memory today and no time to research.)
Hot Wheels Unleashed had this happen - it went to PS Plus first about the same time (so seems maybe there was a clashing contract?) and then came to Game Pass about 6 months after it had been announced to
The one I wanted. Go figure. 😒
Just buy it on discount lol. Also it seems like this happens all the time with gamepass about them spiking hype of a game or listing it to get subscription numbers and then say it was in error
@Kaloudz Phil just tweeted and said there will be a separate business update meeting right after the first one to address this issue…. 😂
@Vipor007 RPGs
I bought the ultimate edition while it was on big sale. Still one of the best JRPGs on Xbox until now
Well I hope it does. I’ve been on the fence about this for a while. Not fully sold on the demo. Would give the full game a try for sure.
Maybe come next part of February
Toa tov tos add to sgp this month.
