SEGA and RGG Studio's amazing Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the first game to receive the coveted 10/10 score from us here at Pure Xbox in 2024, and therefore we're delighted to say it's been selling in record numbers as well!
It was revealed by SEGA this morning that the game has already surpassed 1 million sales since its launch last week, making it the fastest-selling title in the series. Here's a bit of the statement about it:
"SEGA® is thrilled to announce that Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, the latest title in Like a Dragon™ series which was released on 26 January, 2024, achieved its global cumulative sales of one million units shipped and sold* within the first 7 days, making it the fastest-selling title in the series."
To celebrate the achievement, players will be rewarded with a free in-game "Celebratory T-Shirt Set" at some point in the future, with more details to (eventually) be shared on social media via RGG Studio and SEGA.
Obviously there are many other games in this series that you might want to start with first, but if you're intrigued about why Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is so good, you can check out our 10/10 review elsewhere on Pure Xbox:

Great game so far, I'm beyond delighted.
Sounds like that's only physical sales?
I've bought mine digital.
I’m so happy it’s doing well. Only in chapter 3 and wish I had more time to play.
Just think the New Game + fiasco is a downer unfortunately.
@Lup mine is digital too.
Phenomenal game! On Ch 4. Bought it digital as well.
After avoiding Yakuza: Like A Dragon since it's release and through many sales, I just picked it up the last holiday season. I'm loving it. So much, that I immediately pre-ordered Infinite Wealth. Unfortunately, I haven't beat the first, so I haven't touched the sequel yet. But I'm sure it will live up to my expectations.
Question: I know the story in Infinite Wealth starts off, with you being flat broke again...but does anyone know if the save from the first, carries over to the second?
@PROPS There is no save carry over, but the story of Infinite Wealth with make significantly more sense once have completed the first game and then start the second. There are some nice additional game improvements to look forward to also.
@Darylb88 I figured as much. Thanks for the reply!
