Nintendo's latest broadcast revealed both Pentiment and Grounded would be coming to the Switch, but that actually wasn't the only Xbox-related news shared during the Partner Showcase. Five games in Rare's retro library have also made the journey across to the Switch Online service.
This includes Snake Rattle 'n' Roll, RC PRO AM, Battletoads in Battlemaniacs, Killer Instinct and Blast Corps. While you can access all of these series via the Rare Replay collection, some Xbox fans have noted how certain games still aren't actually accessible on Xbox:
Although the 2015 Rare Replay collection includes the Killer Instinct and Battletoads series, the specific titles included are Battletoads, Battletoads Arcade and Killer Instinct Gold. The classic arcade versions of Killer Instinct have also been made available on Xbox via the latest Killer Instinct entry.

What I don’t understand is… why didn’t we see Xbox’s logo plastered all over this? Why are they so scared to market themselves. It was briefly on the Grounded trailer, not sure if it was in the Pentiment snippet but it wasn’t anywhere to be seen with these. And like it or not Xbox has the rights to these games so not sure why they won’t just show their damn logo.
There are more games coming to PlayStation from Xbox than Xbox games releasing out for Xbox players this q1, this while publishers Skip Xbox and they cant even make their own library a available for the Xbox players. What a mess.
Ah yes, system seller Battletoads in Battlemaniacs.
@Markatron84 it adds up
Honestly I don't think many people will actually care about this. It's like golden eye last year, try it out for two minutes for the nostalgia, realise the controls feel horrid and then uninstall.
The world of old games this generation most definitely is. And remakes and remasters.
The industry is not pumping much big AAA and new out as a whole. It’s all about the GAAS and the money more than ever.
The most petrifying boring generation that has ever existed.
I'm guessing this is a one way street like always 😒 Microsoft gives them Rare developed games and in return Nintendo doesn't give Xbox the Rare developed Donkey Kong games. Xbox is really the Santa Claus of gaming!
@K1LLEGAL maybe Sony and Nintendo wouldnt let them I dunno, kinda like a will Smith thing, keep your god damn logo , off our f***in consoles.
@Shushibda are you saying that Shuntaro Furukawa and Jim Ryan have been slapping Phil Spencer in the face? 🤔
@Shushibda haha maybe - Xbox does seem to love getting slapped around.
Wasn’t Blade also missing the Xbox logo? Thick.
@K1LLEGAL yeah blade multiplatform by all accounts
@Markatron84 for a while it seems
@Shushibda yea but even if it is, it’s still an Xbox game (through Zenimax) so the logo should still be there. They just can’t be bothered to put it? It blows my mind.
Whoa, didn't Phil say there were only 4 games going to other platforms but here we are a few days later with 5 more already 😛
@carlos82 yeah but you're forgetting , Phil has been known to talk out of his poop hoop.
@K1LLEGAL who's the dev ?
@Shushibda for Blade? It’s Arkane Lyon who did Deathloop.
Kind of funny because there’s a story on Nintendo Life about people being pissed that Rare Replay hasn’t been ported to Switch.
@K1LLEGAL meh wasn't a fan of deathloop
@awp69 everybody is angry at something it seems 😂
@Phantasystar77 exactly. I see MS bend over backyards to give Playstation and Nintendo games, but not much coming back. I feel for any xbox only gamers
@Phantasystar77 thanks! He was my first ever TF I received as a childhood gift which then introduced me to the franchise wayyyy back in the day. I thought SW was cool too, I agree. I hated their fates in the 1986 movie, so cruel.
First comments are the gold standard in overreacting and Xbox super duper apocalypse.
@ThunderCracker Always liked Thundercracker since he didn't fit any of the standard molds of most other Decepticons' personalities, and was vocal about how he thought hurting humans was beneath the Decepticons. Was also one of my main picks for War for Cybertron's Escalation because of the Sentry Ability.
