What kind of week would it be if we didn't have a few Xbox rumours circulating on social media? The past few days have been particularly full of them though, and it's interesting timing ahead of this week's Developer Direct event.
That said, these rumours aren't typically coming from the usual sources such as Insider Gaming's Tom Henderson and Giant Bomb's Jeff Grubb, so there's a bit more skepticism doing the rounds on social media. We still wanted to share them with you though - you can make your own mind up about how likely these are to come true!
The first one is actually being mentioned by a few people, and it's that Halo's supposed battle royale project from developer Certain Affinity has been cancelled. This was first mentioned a while ago, and now it's circulating once again:
The next comes from the Xbox Infinite Podcast, where one of the co-hosts claimed over the weekend that, amongst other things, the rumoured Gears of War Collection is currently being tested internally at The Coalition, and Bethesda's Indiana Jones game has received developer support from 343 Industries, id Software and Tango Softworks.
All of this does just seem to be coming from one person though, unlike the Halo rumour above.
And finally, we also spotted a little something from Windows Central's Jez Corden about a Dead Rising reboot that was teased a while back, with Corden explaining that it's still "super early" and he probably shouldn't have teased it as it could easily get cancelled. Here's what he had to say about that:
Again, we want to reiterate that we're just sharing random Xbox rumours that we've come across on social media so far this week, so don't take any of this as fact! Plans can always change, and people can be misinformed.
Still, if any of these do come to fruition, what are your thoughts about them? Let us know down below!
