343 Industries is still showing Halo Infinite some love with seasonal updates, but what's next for Master Chief? While there have been some rumours here and there, two job listings have now potentially shed some light on what's going on behind the scenes.
On the LinkedIn profile of the former 343 Industries art director Justin Dinges, it's mentioned how he "worked on Halo's next unannounced project" between April 2022 right up until March 2023. It's also led to speculation a new Halo project may have been in the works since at least early 2022.
Adding fuel to the fire is a LinkedIn profile of Ian Slutz, a 343 senior character systems designer. According to his profile, he's been working with Unreal Engine 5. What's interesting about this is previous rumours suggested Halo would utilise Unreal Engine going forward.
Keep in mind it's unknown what exactly this next Halo project is or the scale of it. Again though there's been plenty of speculation and rumours, with one dating back to last October claiming a team at 343 was already working on the next campaign for the series.

Good news - I actually enjoyed Infinite's campaign and was unhappy they weren't going to do anymore single player DLC.
So fingers crossed they've been working hard on a new Halo that we'll see before the end of the generation...
whatever it is all they have to do is look at halo 3/reach and take notes !
There is the long rumoured Halo Battle Royale made by Certain Affinity but that has supposedly been in development much longer.
If I had to guess this would be a single player campaign. Infinity has started to do much better on Multi-player and it may make sense to do the two modes separately going forward, rather than trying to effectively launch two very different games together.
Can we take a moment to appreciate a guy with the name Slutz. I need him in my friend circle
@Kaloudz PvP! PvP! PvP! Haha, but no seriously. Infinite despite it's flaws was a story that really had me feeling for Chief. It's been a while since I played Infinite's campaign but the lasting feeling was Infinite has you "become Chief". He's not just a walking tank, he's a person.
Also, I felt this was a course correction from 343 and response to the community. Reading too much into the dialogue;
"The missions change. They always do."
“We all fail. We all make mistakes. It’s what makes us human.”
Multiplayer is a decent place right. I hope this writing continues into whatever the story goes next.
@SacredPYRO you need more Slutz in your friend circle?
I still think campaign wise they could have expanded on Halo Infinite campaign and jazzed a few things up a bit etc.
Really enjoyed Halo Infinite open world and FPS gameplay.
@Kaloudz he was that in halo 4
I am probably in the minority here, but I would love to see a continuation of Halo Infinite single player on the current Halo Ring. They left us stranded in another part of the ring at the end of the Halo Infinite campaign. Would love that to continue.
Switch it to UE5 and make it an incredible campaign. Also, keep giving more and more updates for the multi-player. Just keep building!
Halo Infinite is great, both multiplayer and campaign. I wasn't expecting it after Halo 4 and 5. 343 Industries, with the guy(s) that used to work for Bungie, finally nailed it: gameplay, progression, variety, music, graphics, enemies, bosses, story, script... It's all the opposite of Halo 5 in a good sense. In my opinion, Infinite is the best Halo game and 5 is the worst.
Sweet, bring on more Halo 343. **** the haters.
