Xbox's Developer Direct event takes place this week, and although Microsoft has already mentioned the games that will be featured, it seems there are some requests for more. One, in particular, that's come up in conversation on social media is inXile Entertainment's upcoming release, Clockwork Revolution.
The American developer, also responsible for series' such as Wasteland, recently responded to a social media post about the Developer Direct, and while it might not look like much, it's now got some fans speculating (and generally just hoping) for an update about Clockwork Revolution at some point in the immediate future...
Fueling this is the fact that Xbox's Developer Direct last year saw the surprise reveal and immediate release of Hi-Fi RUSH on Game Pass. Right now though, Xbox has only confirmed Ara: History Untold, Avowed, Hellblade 2 and Indiana Jones will be on display at its latest broadcast. Xbox has also noted how Activision Blizzard announcements won't be included and will instead be shared "later this year".
Clockwork Revolution was originally revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase in 2023, and takes on the form of a Steampunk-style first-person RPG. Whenever it does arrive, it will be a "day one" Xbox Game Release. The last update mentioned how it was "coming in due time", and it certainly looked to be in good shape in the trailer!
When do you think we'll get our next update about Clockwork Revolution? What other games would you like to see at the Developer Direct later this week? Tell us in the comments.

I think this one is a little further out. The trailer looked fantastic though, high on my list and looking forward to it.
Maybe at the 2025 developer direct. They literally told us exactly what to expect at this week's show yet people still speculate what will be there....internet things.
@Kaloudz I think it's because the person said "Developer Direct" and not "Developer_Direct"
Kind of an odd swipe at some random Twitter post, but I guess it's to differentiate itself from "Nintendo Direct"? The fact InXile bothered to comment could be seen as "curious", though.
EDIT: Just noticed the person works for IGN, so I'm guessing the correction makes more sense since I am sure Microsoft wants "Developer_Direct" when being mentioned in press releases.
@GamingFan4Lyf Ryan McCaffery is the Xbox correspondent at IGN, so it isn't really just some random person. But, the Inxile twitter account is pretty random all the time anyway, so I wouldn't think much of this.
@InvaderFromSpace Yeah, I added an EDIT: to my comment after I realized it wasn't just some rando on Twitter.
@Kaloudz Like you I had no idea what the Inxile comment even meant until dude clarified the no use of underscore... But I gotta say it, this comment from Inxile and this article could have been donne without haha. Really surprised someone saw this and thought this was interesting enough to write an article, albeit a small article, just not really news worthy
