Now and again, we like to bring you little tricks to help with your Microsoft Rewards experience on Xbox and beyond, and something we've just discovered recently is that you can actually earn points using your Nintendo Switch!
The way to do this is by playing games that allow you to sign into a Microsoft account - Ori and the Blind Forest is an example. Once you're signed in, you can not only earn achievements (which have become very important for Xbox Game Pass Quests), but apparently it also counts as your "Play a PC Game" task which can net you 50 points per-day.
We're assuming Minecraft is in the same boat here, as you can also sign into your Microsoft account in that game on the Switch. Strangely, the option doesn't seem to be available for Ori and the Will of the Wisps though.
Don't have a Switch? Keep in mind that the "Play a PC Game" task doesn't require a high-powered gaming PC by any means - Microsoft Solitaire is good enough, and we've had great success with Quake 2 on lesser-powered computers.
Speaking of Quake 2, don't forget to complete the "Play With Friends on PC" task every day as well, which we've published a more exhaustive guide about elsewhere on Pure Xbox. We're not yet sure whether this works with any games on Nintendo Switch, but again you definitely don't need an expensive PC in order to get it completed.
