Following an update earlier this month, confirming Paramount's Halo TV show would be airing Season 2 next February along with a "first look", a promotional poster has now surfaced online.
Unfortunately, the poster has already upset some fans online. As you can see, it depicts Master Chief (played by Pablo Schreiber) without his helmet on:
Some comments online have noted how he appears to be paying his respects, which may justify the removal of the helmet, but many others feel like this has once again missed the mark. Some have even gone to the extent of photoshopping the poster, to make it look like Chief is wearing his helmet:
As previously mentioned, Season 2 has been in production since last September. Despite the bumpy reception at times, Paramount's Halo TV series has been hailed as a "huge global hit", becoming Paramount's "most -watched" premiere ever. A separate report also suggests it was the top performing show on Paramount in 2022.
What are your thoughts about this official poster for Season 2? Let us know in the comments.

For someone who knows nothing about Halo lore and might not care if the show stick to it or not. Is the show any good? Story, script, acting, music, etc?
@BIG3 if you know nothing about Halo it's probably worth a watch. I watched Season 1 with my wife (who is not a gamer) and she found it ok, if rather disjointed. As a big fan of the games it irritated me, it was clearly written and made by people who have next to no interest in the source material.
@pip_muzz I see. Perhaps I should check out a couple episodes and see if it hooks me.
Sorry off subject but I don’t think there will one posted on this.
Is it me or is the new Avatar game when panning around at say an average speed above slow the visuals are really blurry and messy.
Compare this to say Jedi survivor or even far cry 6.
I like a nice clear sharp picture and I know panning around there is motion but it seems extra rough on Avatar.
Stay still or pan around very slowly it looks great.
Series x 60fps performance mode VRR on, same on all games mentioned above.
I have watched some top end PC footage and the panning around looks so less blurred and picture stays really nice and sharp.
They're so absolutely detached from what people wanted from a live action Halo. I'm still surprised how this go greenlit to begin with.
Even ignoring it as a Halo tie in, it isn't even compelling or quality scifi. So bad it isn't even suitable for Syfy channel.
It gives such Stalone's Judge Dredd vibes where the helmet just had to be off. When all that is needed os Urban's Dredd.
I'd say maybe some day. But we all know Halo is no longer the powerhouse it once was.
Me and the wife look forward to continue the story when we get a chance to watch it
Cool poster. Shame the show will be sh*t.
@OldGamer999 Are there video settings in the game options that you can play around with. This sounds like a case of one of those "beneficial" options to make games look more cinematic but can be an eyesore to maybe-most viewers.
@BIG3 I’d say it’s passable if you know nothing about Halo. There was some fun battles and whatnot, but the characters and story weren’t that good at all, even if I’m taking my Halo lover goggles off. You’re better off watching something like the Expanse if you want good sci-fi.
Should have made the show for the fans. Without them you got nothing.
If you're taking the role of a masked character you should probably realize your face isn't going to be shown. How ***** would star wars be if every storm trooper is walking with a helmet in hand? Or Vader?
@BIG3 even if you know nothing about Halo. There's a huge list of better sci-fi shows to spend your time on:
The Expanse
Foundation
Silo
Sandman
Battlestar Galactica
etc.
But if you must, you'll watch Halo and probably come out of it thinking it was "ok", probably not more.
@Scummbuddy
Tried all the settings etc not that there are many.
So then I compared to other games.
I think it is a bit hard with all those lovely graphics for the consoles to keep up so it goes blurry or Ubi need to optimise better.
If you read books he takes his helmet off
Quite liked the first series. Am looking forward to the second.
Never should have shown his face in the first place, i always expected master chief to be some heavily scarred bald dude like Darth Vader under the helmet anyway not some "handsome" guy for people to swoon over, character is supposed to be stoic but this guy he looks more like the male stripper you can play as in dead island 2 and he's a comic relief character.
