The Lies of P development team has just dropped a new 'director's letter' on its YouTube channel, discussing upcoming plans for the Xbox Game Pass soulslike. Alongside a new balance-focused update arriving later this month, the team has shown off some teasers for its first DLC pack.
It looks like we may be taking to the seas in Lies of P DLC - at least with this first add-on anyway. We don't have a date or any pricing details just yet, but here are a few concept images from the expansion:
Lies of P seems to have landed extremely well with fans of the soulslike genre. We certainly enjoyed our time with the recent Game Pass addition here at Pure Xbox, and despite the game's inclusion in Microsoft's subscription service, it hit a huge sales milestone just last month.
Anyway, once we hear more about November's update, and the upcoming Lies of P expansion pack, we'll bring you the news. For now, we hope you're enjoying another solid soulslike on Xbox Game Pass!

Will you be grabbing any DLC for Lies of P? Tell us in the comments section down below.

I’m on act 11 and have enjoyed my time with P, I’d be interested in some DLC. The further I’ve gotten into the game the more it’s small issues become apparent like relying way too much on multi phase boss battles and act 11 to me feels out of place. This game isn’t for everyone and that’s okay despite what a vocal minority say online, but for those of us who like a challenge the game is great fun. I’d be happy to support it more.
My GOTY. It’s the best soulslike I’ve played and the one that comes the closest to the From Software magic. I will buy DLC on day 1, no question about it.
This game is amazing. I hope they drop some tough new bosses. After getting my ass kicked by the mid game bosses, I was a bit disappointed in the challenge of the bosses in chapter 11, though they were still super fun, so I am hoping they provide some final challenge bosses in DLC.
@RBRTMNZ the bosses in act 11 are easier? I hope so a few previous have handed me my arse 🤣
@Cakefish I said to someone else this was my GOTY, but I feel it has dropped off a little towards the end. I’m halfway through act 11 I think so will see how it ends.
I put off playing lies of p for ages
Just hearing about the difficulty was putting me off and i didnt think it would be my kind of game
but I gave in and finally gave it a go a few weeks ago after fully completing the game and getting all achievements I must admit this was a truly fantastic game even after completing the game I felt lost what can I play now and everything I play isn't the same I was missing playing the game (even if it did take me 16 plus hours beating the nameless puppet) and i needed more lies of p
Without a shadow of a doubt this is my game of the year so far and watching the directors letter this morning I'm so excited for the future of lies of p
Sequel announced too!
@Fenbops I felt like they were much easier but they are not easy. Their attacks are super fast and relentless. It often felt like I was just trying to hang on as they did never ending combos with very small punish windows but they don't hit as hard as earlier bosses and seem to have less health.
One small caveat is that I understand these bosses to be especially hard for people who had been relying on dodging rather than parrying.
This is where Gamepass shows it's worth for devs - I played it through and loved it, show when the DLC hits I'll have no qualms at all about paying up
Brilliant game. I'm on Laxia on chapter 11 atm. Been struggling. I know I'll beat her eventually but I've been stuck for about 2 weeks now 🙃. First part I absolutely demolish her, when she gets rid of armour. I usually get mauled.
Still having problems with the first boss.
