If you haven't been checking the free-to-play section on Xbox lately, you may have missed a couple of new releases that have cropped up on the Store - one of which is actually the third most popular F2P title in the UK right now.
That game is known as Pool Blitz, which is developed by Cherry Pop Games of Pool Nation fame. It seems to have proven popular on mobile in recent times, and therefore it's also now available on Xbox. Reviews on the Xbox Store are mixed, with some praising the gameplay and others criticising the supposed "pay to win" mechanics.
Another free-to-play game that's cropped up recently is Hades' Star: Dark Nebula, which is a strategy game set within a "persistent galaxy that constantly evolves". This one doesn't seem to be proving as popular since its launch back on November 15th, and the reviews on the Store are very similar to what we're seeing from Pool Blitz.
Other recent free-to-play releases that you might have missed include Disney Speedstorm, My Hero Ultra Rumble, and a couple of new bundles for Century: Age of Ashes and World of Warships. There's some good stuff here!
Anyway, we'll keep our focus on Pool Blitz and Hades' Star for now - here are more details on both:
Pool Blitz
"The world is ready for a truly unique pool game! Challenge your friends, enter pool tournaments, and go head to head against other players in real-time. Shoot pool with ultra-realistic physics, breath-taking graphics, and have more fun than you’ve ever had in real life!"
Hades' Star: Dark Nebula
"Create and grow your space Empire, in a persistent galaxy that constantly evolves."
