Xbox has today unveiled its latest "Power Your Dreams global brand campaign", kicking things off with a live-action trailer called "Wake Up and Dream" that will be shown across global markets throughout the holiday period.
You can watch the video above, which features the likes of Starfield, Forza Motorsport, Cyberpunk 2077 and interestingly even Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 - which doesn't have a date yet but is expecting be getting one fairly soon.
We'll throw some more details about the Wake Up and Dream trailer down below:
"Wake Up and Dream” is an immersive adventure story, inspired by gamers and their dreams – going beyond imagination, and capturing the fun, joy, community and love we all share for our favorite games and epic gaming moments experienced with friends. "
“Wake Up and Dream” is custom scored by Son Lux, a BAFTA-nominated band, and Academy Award® nominee for the musical score to the film, “Everything Everywhere All At Once.”

Isn’t there a profile background around this idea of dreaming?
With Starfield, Forza Motorsport and Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 either on Game Pass (or coming to Game Pass), I now have my fingers crossed for Cyberpunk 2077
@johnK cyberpunk is a great game ,its cheap as chips now, why don't you just buy it.
Cool ad, really captures some of the escapism that I love in gaming, losing yourself exploring other worlds.
Though I had to laugh at "Professional stunts, do not attempt. Not actual gameplay" as she jumped pillar to pillar in space.
Really cool advert. I’m not even a huge fan of three out of the four games (and, eh, probably will only be interested in the fourth for the tech), but I’ll admit that it makes the games look really good. Glad to see Xbox making a really solid commercial.
@Mephisto2869 It's currrenty at £50 (without the DLC). I was looking to buy it in the Black Friday deals but if it's coming to Game Pass for free then why would i do that?
@themightyant don't tell me where I can or cannot jump in space.
Really enjoyed that. Interesting that every game mentioned has already released except for HellBlade. Could be a hint that it will be released relatively soon...
@johnK well you don't know its coming to game pass its 20 on amazon ,even if it does come to gamepass I very much doubt the dlc will be included.
@Microbius I am pretty interested in seeing how Hellblade looks and plays these days. No doubt it has changed for the better over the last year or two. There are many questions about the combat/gameplay, story, and framerate on consoles.
@armondo36 One of the selling points for me over my Xbox was hellblade 2. I hope it will be launching next year. Fingers crossed.
This advert reminds me of some of the really good adverts that PS used to do. That of course is a thing of the past now that PS is focusing on live service games. But super glad to see this is now an XB thing.
@NeoRatt You've obviously not see the advertising currently doing the rounds for 'spidey 2'. Its impressive. Very.
But good job on this video MS, I'd like to see more...
@Titntin
I have but I am not all that impressed as I used to be with PS. First, it is only one game whereas they used to have montages like the XB ad for several games. Second, the gameplay looks great and interesting but it is an evolution of what they have already done with spider-man and miles morales.
Would be great if Xbox actually did any advertising at all in the UK. Never see much at all.
@NeoRatt Each to their own mate. I've waited 3 years for Starfield and Motorsport only to find they are Ok. Just OK. That's disappointing. They are also both just iterations of game titles which were, IMO, better, so I don't understand the 'evolution' comment on Spidey when this applies to all the 'big hitters' here too?
As for the montage adverts do you mean like this one from 8 months ago?

I think that one was pretty good and reminds me of some of the great montages of the past. Do you not agree?
However it was the single game advertising I was impressed with like this:
https://www.pushsquare.com/news/2023/10/marvels-spider-man-2-takes-over-the-world-on-ps5-launch-day#enlarge-10
Regardless, I like that Microsoft are stepping their game up with advertising. They have plenty to offer and I'm sure they would be selling more if they made sure more people understood and considered the huge value of Game Pass. Especially now that ABK are on board.
As a gamer with no affiliation and an interest in all platforms I want to see all companies doing well. That's great for the industry I love.
I hope you have a great day, we are just talking points of view here and as gamers I'm sure we have much more in common than not!
@Titntin
The game stuff was good in that PS ad. But, I hate a newscaster type approach. Reminds me of all the news organizations now-a-days. Where they are either left or right leaning rather than objective. Felt cheesy to me because of it. Although I do have to say the woman flying in the XB one was cheesy too.
I do think spider-man 2 is a really good. I played the first part of the story this morning and it is good. But, Sony is just working off of their existing IP and not really building anything new right now and the past few years. I am sure they are working on new stuff. Just zero visibility as to what that is. Returnal is really their only new IP this generation so far. And it doesn't seem like there is a lot of other new IP coming.
Thanks for your reply mate.
I hear you on the news thing, though I'm English and so we're a decade behind you on polarisation currently, but we are getting there!
My main concern on the MS one is that it takes 40 seconds for anything interesting to happen and most people these days have the attention span of a fruit fly - that wont hold attention. I'm sure they will edit some higher paced ones too. Of more concern is that it only shows 4 games and one is currently vapourware and the another is a multi-plat title. Strange choices.
I'm glad you are enjoying SpiderMan 2. I've not played it myself, as swinging in the previous titles made me a little motion sick (something I'm prone to). I've seen though, that you can choose to fly from quite early in the game, so maybe I'll try this one and see if I can stomach it! It certainly looks proper 'next gen' though in a way too few games have this gen
I can't tell you why Sony haven't road mapped their coming first party titles, other than they don't appear to need to to get record sales, but I can say with certainty that there is plenty coming. I'm not much of a networker and haven't kept that many industry contacts since I left the dev industry nearly 15 years ago, but even I am hearing there's some exciting titles coming next year. In the meantime, especially if you are multi format, there's more games than I can consume now so I'm content to wait and see. Have a good one!
