One of the surprises from Capcom this year was the multiplayer dinosaur shooter Exoprimal, which made its debut on Xbox Game Pass earlier this year in July.
In Capcom's latest financial results, it's now revealed it got a significant increase in "digital license revenue" due to the "licensing revenue from providing Exoprimal to Game Pass".
As highlighted by TechRaptor, Capcom's increase in digital licensing revenue jumped from "2.2 billion yen to 3.7 billion" (roughly $14.7 million - $24.7 million) year-on-year in the first half of the fiscal year.
Exoprimal was launched on both Xbox and PC Game Pass, with the game quickly breaking the one million player mark in the same month. Capcom even ended up celebrating this milestone at the time with some free goodies.
This was eventually followed up with a free content update, featuring 10 new Exosuit variants and over 30 modules.
