Pretty much from the outset, the new Forza Motorsport has been seen as an 'evolving platform' for Xbox and Turn 10 - with the developer already naming two post-launch tracks arriving in the coming months. And in a recent 'Community Update' on the Forza website, the team further commits to supporting the game in the long run.
The Forza dev says it's "committed to ongoing improvements", including "tweaks to the gameplay systems, features and quality of life improvements, as well as new content that will be introduced every month."
Here's the team's community letter in full:
"Hi everyone. It’s been a week since Forza Motorsport released for Premium Edition owners and, in that time, we’ve been reading your feedback and listening to your concerns. Forza Motorsport has been designed to be a racing platform that will change and adapt over time. This includes tweaks to the gameplay systems, features and quality of life improvements, as well as new content that will be introduced every month.
Ever since players got their hands on Forza Motorsport, the team has continued developing new fixes and is committed to ongoing improvements, some of which will be released as early as next week. Stay tuned for the details and full release notes on our Forza Support website and Forza Motorsport channels.
While this first update focuses on quality of life and stability issues, we look forward to continuing to listen to, and evaluate, our players' feedback in future updates.
Thanks to all our players for being part of the Forza Motorsport community and for your continued support and patience. We will keep you updated on when those changes start to roll out.
We’re excited to shape the future of Forza Motorsport together."
We're not 100% sure on what each month will deliver in terms of pure content, but we'd imagine new cars will be added fairly regularly - especially during the months where new tracks aren't planned. We do know that the game's first post-launch month in November will see the arrival of the Yas Marina circuit - so there's plenty to look forward to with Forza Motorsport next month!
It's good to see this sort of commitment from Turn 10 anyway, especially with how the game is shaping up right now. The bones of the new Forza Motorsport are amazing, we just need more race types, tracks and career mode events to add extra variety to the experience going forward.
What content do you want to see added to Forza Motorsport? Tell us your ideas down below.

First improvement please: AI cars that don’t immediately give up when you overtake them.
Just like in Horizon 4 and 5, AI cars are immediately 5 seconds behind you after you take them over. It ruins all the fun in the last part of a race for me. Won’t continue the game until it’s solved probably.
How about fixing the damn game Turn 10? I played on the weekend and had a tirade of crashes which then reset practice and race progression in the career mode. How this game was 6 years in development and released in this state is beyond me. Progression and save bugs has to be up there as the most annoying and it has made it into this game.
I hope some of the upcoming content includes a game that doesn’t crash every time I try to play it.
@Bartig this, the AI is shocking once you've overtaken them. I once finished a race from the front having severely damaged my car - I just continued driving at 10kph leading a procession of cars driving right behind me as if I were the safety car in F1!
@Trotterwatch I once was first in a race on moderate difficulty, I completely slipped in one of the last corners and I still came in first. It’s incredible.
I’m starting to think Turn 10 can’t do proper car AI…
@Bartig Noticed this as well, takes all the challenge out of the game even on higher difficulties.
Hopefully they fix whatever quick resume bug is present too. Game crashes just about every single time when I try to reload it.
@RBRTMNZ im suprised turn 10 relased a game that's always crashing bethesda and todd howard yes but I didn't expect it from this developer
Another new game released months too early imo. I have been down on it because of the always online and career progression but FM7 is clearly a better racer.
Besides some nice window dressing this has been a very disappointing release.
I'm surprised by how much I've been hooked in by FM. I was expecting it to follow my usual "maybe play for an hour or so every day" FM habits. Turns out I've put 20 hours into it this past week; not loads by any stretch, but I'm really enjoying it. I'm even cranking the rules and damage difficulties up, which I've never done before, and playing the multiplayer, which I also never do.
So monthly content/updates/fixes sounds good to me. My biggest request is: fix the AI racers. I'm visually impaired and crash into sh*t less than the AI does.
@Dan1283 It's a bummer. I want to play more but don't want to have my experience tainted so I decided to delete it until they fix it. Playing games at launch is becoming an increasingly questionable decision.
It is a live service, it isn't a live service, now it is a live service again. Make you mind up Turn 10.
@themightyant its 100% a live service game
@BRT15 Maybe Bethesda helped them make Forza Motorsport?
@GuyinPA75 I think bethesda and todd howard have been working on nearly every game released at the minute 😆
@old-dad Always online is SEVERELY unnecessary and unwanted. At least by me.
@GuyinPA75 mate I was thinking to myself after having all these crashes, that even Starfield didn't crash on me this often when it launched. This for a racing game is ridiculous...
Again, the AI is absolutely atrocious.
The penalty system is ridiculous too. I praise the attempt to have online clean racing, but when I get rammed in a hairpin, bounce into another car and get a 2+ second penalty, the system is broken.
That's the problem. Online has a ridiculous penalty system, even with an A safety rating (avoid a collision, oooops off track that's a penalty)
Single Player has awful AI.
I'd be much more forgiving but I really can't work out how this took 6 years....
@GuyinPA75 it seems to be "always" something. Online,, crashing or jank 🤣
Hmm 🙄
I see quite a few comments about bad AI, but I find it to be quite good to race against, especially if you up the difficulty level.
Multiplayer is a lot of fun when you race against like minded gamers. I would've like to have seen some online player history, like how many races you've completed, podiums you've achieved etc.
The only content I want is a major revision to their upgrade system.
