It's race day, folks! Forza Motorsport is now available in the Xbox Game Pass library following five days of early access, so we can all finally jump into Turn 10's new racer!
Of course, most of us know the drill by now with Forza Motorsport, but we'll drop a brief synopsis down below anyway. Here's what to expect from Xbox's track racing reboot:

I feel sorry for anyone who has to race with my AI, I've been playing for 5 days and I play a lot like Ricky Bobby
It's a new Forza game; nothing more, nothing less. I wasn't expecting it to be my next obsession. I like FM, but they're the sort of game that I just play for an hour or so every day. One thing I will say is that it is a monumentally pretty game on PC.

Awesome. I’ll be playing this after work and the gym. Looking forward to it… it’s been my most anticipated game on XBOX this year. I loved MotorSport 7 so I hope this reboot was worth the 6 year wait.
Finally got to play a few races! Seems good, different than GT7, which is a great thing as I needed a change.
Default handling (with heavy assistance) is terrible and people should just turn all of that off. But once you do, driving becomes way better and engaging.
Played last night for a few hours and really like it. Gonna be hitting the rivals a lot on this game. Would be good if somebody got a forum together on here so we can sort out some PX races. Need some gamertags to challenge in the rivals.

Tried it on PC earlier and it's a pretty shoddy port, which is bizarre given how well the Forza Horizon games run and is one of the worst racing games I've played on PC in that regard.
I'll give it another go when it gets fixed
On Multiplayer can I not just load up like FM6/FM7 and jump into a R Class race? I'm literally waiting around, then I've got to do practice then a race. I just want to jump straight in to R class lobby like I could back in the previous titles?
Smashed it out a bit soon as it hit game pass at midnight last night, it's an absolute masterpiece
Playing right now. Bought myself a MR2 - a car I owned in real life. Jumped into rivals to level up and get it up to C class so I can take it to the featured event.
It is very good racing. I love the penalty system. I love that it's not all about winning from the back of the grid. These are major improvements. It feels great. I really hated the starter cars but I'm in a vibe now with my lighter more responsive duece.
The upgrade system is a major drag ngl. It'll be fine early game. I'm happy to stick to a particular car that I like. I can see it being a major pain late game when I want to sort cars out for multiplayer and challenges. Or if I just want to get everything in my garage looking race ready. It's annoying. I don't like it. How badly I wanted to slap some slicks on that damn civic so I could get it around a corner can not be understated. Oh well.
After just an hour of playing, I like the driving. Turned off brake assist, that was quite an adjustment, but I barely felt like I had to do anything but turn otherwise. Driving feels good. Can't wait to dig into it, although I'll be taking it slow, given all the other games I have to play right now (Starfield, Lamplighter's League, a ton of games dropping on PS Plus).
Cannot wait! Nearly downloaded but sadly I’m away tonight…… but no matter as I will be playing on my Logitech G Cloud so whilst not the ideal place, it’s as good as any!!!! And I’ve got my USB C to HDMI cable with me so onto the big screen it goes!!!

Why am I bored? Its pretty when the lighting is right. The handling has a tendancy to understeer even on cars it shouldnt, but feels pretty good and you can notice upgrade changes well. Sounds pretty decent too, if a little ott. I turned the ai to level 5, but it still seems inexplicably stupid and cars will crash into you early race almost without fail - gets better when they spread out.
But the gameplay loop and upgrade path, just suck the fun from it.
If you compare to FM7, theres so little to do in comparison?
I'll grind the hell out of it and hope I get pulled in, but right now after 3 hours I just wanna switch on crew motorfest or starfield and have fun.. I didnt expect to feel this.. Have I missed some game modes guys?
P. S. I know many people here I respect are having a fantastic time with this game. My initial thoughts and dissapointment are purely mine and are not intended to throw shade on anyone elses enjoyment and fun. I want to feel that joy too.
I played a couple races on lunch break. Im looking forward to getting more in depth after work.
Steam reviews are currently "mixed" which is pretty bad in steam review terms. 45% of the 435 reviews are positive.
They really turned this game into a needlessly grindy experience.
Anybody else get that obnoxious ad for Forza when booting up your console?
@BBB Thanks mate, appreciate your reply. Im 5 hours in and Ive enjoyed the built for sport races a little more, maybe because I picked a better car, and also because im choosing my own upgrades over just pressing x for auto tune. In my case the porche cayman Id choosen slides off the road quite easillly in stock, but as soon as I maxed tyre width Ive been able to take a few more liberties, which is more fun. My drivatars are only on level 4 atm with sport rules, but Im easilly managing 1st place starting for 12th. Im not one for quitting easilly, so Ill keep at it, but I cant help thinking some more race modes would help the game...
I know what you mean about the whole 'dude bro thing', its been done to death. This one seems a little souless though, so maybe a halfway house would be good! Im determined to at least finish all the races which are here though, much to my wifes disdain! She can play motorfest or horizon all night, but wont touch this, which is great for me as we've only one series x and Ive not installed it on the PC! Have fun!
It's a beautiful, but generic beast so far. I don't know what I was expecting, but it kinda fizzled for me.
Best forza game i ever played, the sound design is impressive when you smash or hit a car oh boy it isn't a pleasant experience,the lightings,the xp system is fun i love everything about that game i recommend it it's a beast of a game! 10/10 in my heart.
@Kalele Yeah, I like the car XP system too. My first couple of levels up I just used Quick Upgrades, but the handling has changed, so then I found myself tweaking the car for the next race. AI is great to race against, especially if you crank up the difficulties. Some will trade paint from time to time, some will avoid you completely, and some will give you a little nudge on corners, I've have some really fun races. Some will even try to outrace you around bends and lose their traction, spinning off into the gravel🤣
Rivals is a good mode too if you like racing against ghost cars and setting fast lap times to climb the leaderboards, which I do like myself, but haven't tried multiplayer yet.
I love it so far...
