There's been a lot of talk recently about how well Alan Wake 2 will run on consoles when it arrives later this week (the release date is October 27th), but we've been reassured it should be a great experience across the board.
This comes courtesy of Remedy Communications Director Thomas Puha, who advised Alan Wake fans earlier today that the team has "taken great care" with the console versions of Alan Wake 2:
Obviously this is great to hear, and we can't wait to get our hands on the game ourselves for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S later this week. Keep in mind that the Series X version even includes an optional Performance Mode, although the console version was always intended to be a 30FPS experience "focusing on visuals and ambiance".
There's no Xbox Game Pass release for Alan Wake 2, and there's not a physical release either. Therefore, the only way to buy it for Xbox is via the Xbox Store, where the pre-order price is a very reasonable £49.99 / $59.99.
Let's hope this long-awaited sequel lives up to the hype!
