Alright. Still holding out hope for a secret 60 fps performance update on series x. I know this is Bethesda we're talking about, but a man can dream
@DoctorJohnDisco hahaha I had this too and after awhile it popped back in.
No starseed quest fix then, cant access any door in the later stages ,its knackered.
@DoctorJohnDisco happened to me ,there's a fix,but I cant remember what it was ha ha
Hopefully this patch can stop the asteroids invasion. I have a mini-flotilla of asteroids following my ship around. It's getting more and more as the game goes on.
@DoctorJohnDisco Remove her from your party, add another party member, then add her back. (I had this too)
Another fix that works on a lot of bugs is make a new manual save in your game, load a much older save (hopefully you have one before the bug) and then load the original/latest save. This has helped with a lot of bugs including "you are trespassing" bug which I had after Ryujin and another questline.
I'd probably agree this is "the most stable Bethesda game" but it's still riddled with bugs, soft and hard crashes, dodgy frame rates, characters getting stuck in walls, floors, ceilings, rag doll physics flipping out, etc etc.
@DoctorJohnDisco For me, she never wears a spacesuit.
Oh no. They fixed the vendor in Akila. Used to use him for free bullets
Can someone message me when the performance is upto 60fps on Series X as finding 30fps jarring. Thanks
Hopefully this means the ship services technician in Neon has been rescued from their watery grave.
@Muddy I woudnt get your hopes up this is bethesda we are talking about and todd howard lol
@Muddy Tbh you get used to it after a while. And I could be wrong but I’m sure it’s smoother now than at launch.
@DoctorJohnDisco my character had that issue, I stopped using the cloaking armours completely until that is fixed. It happened to my companions and my own character.
Had a few crashes to desktop, so I'm hoping this resolves that issue.
Figured they would fix the puddle glitch pretty quickly, I hit it up a few times just to give myself a nice early inventory boost, but trying to do it a lot just became too time consuming, and I didn't want to ruin the game progress for myself.
@Nightcrawler71 Yeah leaving the motion blur on definitely helps a lot, I also got used to it after playing the game a while.
Lost my mantis armour on the mannequin ☹️
Oh man, I wish the quality of life updates they talked about were in this update. Guess we gotta wait a little longer.
I've only just had the Warning incoming storm status disappear. It'd been stuck in my suit status for most of the game.
@Dround87 Same. I was gutted because it looked great in the mannequin case.
@Boogaloo_Jenkins The more I play it the more I think if Starfield was on PS5 or Bethesda was owned by Sony then it would have a 60fps option. The graphics are so basic they could definitely hit 60, especially if Cyberpunk, Spiderman and Horizon Forbidden West can and they all look better than Starfield.
@TJ81 PS5 hardware is basically the same as Xbox so 60fps would be a push with that CPU. The graphics may not be next gen but it is a CPU systems heavy game which means peformance cost is greater on the CPU rather than the GPU. Todd Howard would have made the same choice even if Sony had brought them out as they are fairly hands off with 2nd party AQ's like Bungie. PC's with the right CPU can run 60fps already.
@TJ81 Technically the Series X is more powerful than the PS5 so I find that highly doubtful.
@JayJ @Darylb88 I wasn't comparing system power, I just thought maybe Sony would push for a 60fps option whereas Bethesda clearly had total creative control as Starfield started development long before the acquisition. I can't help comparing Starfield to other games which have succeeded in implementing a 60fps option though, especially when in my opinion Cyberpunk for example, actually looks better. Anyway, I'm just being an entitled picky gamer!

Really enjoying the game but there are still so many bugs and performance issues
@ChromeMud Many gamers in this day and age have multiple consoles; there is nothing pro PS5 in my train of thought and I certainly didn't allude to the ludicrous statement your sarcastic comment conveyed. In my opinion the best example of current gen console gaming prowess is Flight Simulator on your beloved Xbox.
I got stuck in the Unearthed story mission and nearly lost a ton of progress. Stupidly I hadn't done a manual save for some time and was relying on autosaves. If you've not done that mission yet do a proper save first before you start it.
I love the game I wish I could do so much police work in new Atlantis it's fun being a cop on there
@Kharjo man good thing I always save and had 200 digipicks since you can hack in both universe
This does not look like much... I would like them to fix some of the sidequests that have bugged and cannot be completed (I alone have 6-8 of those but thankfully none from the main path).
On top of city maps I would very much enjoy a list of cities to travel to as most of them incluing the likes of Neon and Akila I have no idea where are they on the star map and just use some of my bugged sidequests to travel to them...
I'm surprised how few bugs I've encountered for a Bethesda game. I've definitely had bugs from crashes, being stuck invisible, NPCs all freezing in place or standing in plant pots, and physics craziness. Though it's better than I expected
@PhileasFragg I've come across a few bugs not to many actually though I'm having more problems with the game crashing than anything else to be honest my biggest problem with this game isn't the loading times or the performance they don't bother me it's the repeated buildings and outposts and caves and things like that that's bothering me more than anything else
Need them to fix the faction quest bugs. I am stuck on the red mile. I may push towards NG+ and try again but I didn’t want to just yet.
