We've got a date for Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0! The big new patch arrives for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S (as well as PS5 and PC) on Thursday, September 21st - just a few days before the Phantom Liberty expansion releases.
We haven't yet got any patch notes for Update 2.0, but rest assured it's going be packed with new features. Here's a breakdown of what you can expect across the update and the new Phantom Liberty DLC:

If you're interested in learning more, a new Cyberpunk 2077 "Night City Wire" episode was broadcast today containing details on Update 2.0 and Phantom Liberty, and we've added that at the top of this article.
We're hoping to bring you some impressions on Phantom Liberty specifically in the near future, so fingers crossed this huge update and major expansion can create some very positive buzz around Cyberpunk 2077 later this month.

Would love to go back and play this again from the start because the update does seem comprehensive but between Starfield, Forza Motorsport and Alan Wake 2 I don't see myself getting to it.
What a journey for Cyberpunk 2077, eh? What started off as a total disaster could end up being considered a success story after the dust settles.
I hope all this work CDPR has done to improve the game lands well with people.
Looking forward to the Expansion at some point. I need to finish Star Wars Jedi Survivor and Starfield (main quest) before I can jump back into Night City.
@Kaloudz I did earlier this year and had a good time of it. The world building, I have to say is top notch, as well as the characters in the game. Won't say much about the mechanics and systems since they're getting a huge overhaul with this update.
@Kaloudz I played an hour at Launch and kept waiting for the 'next-gen' patch, then various fixes and improvements, then this complete overhaul of the game essentially - a lot that does seem to be much more refined and better 'User' experience.
I am sure its worth it, if you enjoy these type of games, and have nothing to lose in jumping back in (if you still own it of course) but I'm still enjoying Starfield too much to want to start another massive time sink of a game alongside that...
But I certainly want to jump back in now having seen some of the changes highlighted in a video today, I'm just hoping it's worth the wait, because first impressions weren't great!
At least for me, they will need to fix the UI, inventory management system, quest tracking UI, etc. Mashed the game unplayable. Nothing feels intuitive at all.
These issues are not isolated to cyberpunk. They are EVERY CD Projekt Red games I've played.
Unless It gets some stellar reviews saying you have to jump back in ..think I will probably pass
Cyberpunk > Starfield
Would love to go back to Cyberpunk's awesome world, and run on 60 FPS!!
@Kaloudz you can say that again bud! Really an 'All-you-can-eat buffet' this year when it comes to games and quality ones at that. Between all these games and life, I'm not sure if I'll ever get to it but hopefully you'll have a great time when you get to Cyberpunk.
Does this update the graphics at all? They’re both great and really average at the same time at the moment.
@Kaloudz I played earlier in the year and I was really getting into it. Then I heard this patch was coming out and held off, now I don’t know if I have time to jump back in 😂 as I said I was enjoying it, but it has its issues. The game world itself is kind of empty and lifeless and the combat felt janky (possibly because I was low level?). The map is filled with side stuff like a Ubisoft game. I was enjoying the main story though and it can look fantastic when it wants to.
Me and my XOX cp2077 LE Bundle have been robbed by cdpr of this update and upcoming dlc.
Ja i mój XOX cp2077 LE Bundle zostaliśmy okradzeni przez cdpr z tej aktualizacji i nadchodzącego dlc. Fak ju cdpr.
