The team behind Xbox Game Pass strategy title The Lamplighters League has announced that a free playable demo will be landing on Xbox and PC storefronts today, September 28th.
The developer advises not to "miss your chance to try the game before launch day" as this free slice of turn-based strategy action heads to Xbox today at 6am PT / 9am ET / 2pm BST / 3pm CEST.
Remember though, the full version of The Lamplighters League will hit Xbox Game Pass on day one, so subscribers can try the full release out at no extra cost next month. The title is heading to the Game Pass library on October 3rd, 2023.
We'll have some impressions of the full game out on the site shortly, so be on the lookout for our Pure Xbox review of The Lamplighters League in the coming days.

This is actually one of the game pass games I'm most excited about!
Does anyone know if progress in the demo carries over to the full version? Thanks in advance.
@CaptnDave someone answered that question on twitter or X and the response was
Hi! Unfortunately, no, as they are considered different versions of the game in the back-end.
@CaptnDave same here I'm defiantly going to put down CK3 and Starfield and try this. This is the one bad thing about gamepass is you never know how long its going to be on there so you sometimes need to shuffle the games your playing.
I am going to give this one a try. It seems like something I will enjoy.
Should have been noted, the development team of the recent Shadowrun Trilogy. Looking forward to this!
The game is not getting great reviews so far but still will give it a go. Looking forward to the Pure Xbox review…
The game has severe crashing issues on Xbox along with performance issues according to several online reviews. Best to steer clear until it’s patched.
@Lucylu1983 Thanks for your help. Oh well, I'll just wait a few more days But I'm really looking forward to this one
