Saber Interactive has today announced it is ending the development of new content for Evil Dead: The Game.
This title made its debut on Xbox Series X|S last May and since then has received patch updates, new modes and maps, and new single-player content. Although updates are ending, the team will keep the game's servers up in the "foreseeable future" and address any major issues that arise.
"On behalf of the entire team at Saber, thank you for all the groovy times and your continued support."
When this game started out, we had a great time with it but did question the longevity of the title and whether its player base would stick around.

That was fast.
Is it just me or does it seem like all these asymmetric games have a very short life expectancy?
Going all the way back to Evolved.
The only one with real staying power is Dead By Daylight. And that is it's own thing that just has tie ins.
I enjoyed it, but you often ended up waiting a long time to get into a match.
I keep on wondering why Sony is investing so much in live service games when this kind of news is being brought to us left and right.
Noooooo, not the grooviest game of this gen 😮💨
@Kaloudz 😂
@Kaloudz no ***** way you did by accident, you absolute beauty 😭😭😂
Did this game not do well?
Only played the beta. Thought it was fun. But just too much to play and not enough time play them all.
@InterceptorAlpha Evolve really enjoyed. Biggest issue I feel that hurt was the one monster if player picked it was too overpowered and would win every time.
The game needed better balance to survive. The game did not, evolve...so it didn't last.
