Xbox boss Phil Spencer was pretty active on social media over the weekend, where he took the opportunity to congratulate the Iron Lords Podcast for featuring former Xbox boss Peter Moore as part of their latest episode.
In his response, Spencer praised Moore as being someone that he "learned a lot" from, stating that he has "a lot of great insight, history and learning to share". Here's a look at the exchange on Twitter:
For those who aren't aware, Peter Moore was brought into Microsoft to help launch the Xbox 360 back in the early-mid 2000s, and he was a huge part of the Xbox brand until he eventually left to join EA in 2007. Moore also previously worked as the head of SEGA of America during the time of the SEGA Dreamcast.
The full interview with Peter Moore is around an hour and a half long, so it's definitely worth checking out if you're interested! You'll also find more articles about the former Xbox boss elsewhere on Pure Xbox:

I really want to criticize P. Moore for parts of his legacy: the poor use of unencrypted media on Dreamcast, the RRoD on Xbox, the shift of EA to king of Microtransactions in games and consistently rated the worst company on the globe...
...but for every one of those we had: 2 years of glory on Dreamcast, the 360 changed the course of games forever with its virtual store and heavy community involvement, and even EA had some bright spots with Bioware and decades of Madden.
I'd be more interested to know what Phil Spencer learned from Don Mattrick.
He also should learned what to absolutely NEVER say or DO from Don Mattrick.

When you push the limits you make mistakes. It is that simple.
And Peter Moore was and has always pushed the limits.
