Developer Hello Games is back again with another huge No Man's Sky update, this time named 'Echoes'. The team is claiming that this is the game's biggest update of the year, featuring a whole new race dubbed the 'Robot People'.
You can see how this new race is going to affect the game world in the new Echoes Update Trailer, which we've included up above for your viewing pleasure. Here's how Hello Games describes this brand-new No Man's Sky update:
"Meet a secret society of robotic aliens in update 4.4, ECHOES! Furthering the narrative introduced in INTERCEPTOR, explore the mysteries of the Autophage, perform their rituals, learn their language, and assemble your own ceremonial staff. In deep space, confront huge outlaw dreadnoughts, sweep through their trenches and destroy vulnerable components in new tactical space combat – and much more!"
This sounds like yet another chunky addition to No Man's Sky then, which has continuously expanded ever since its inclusion in the Xbox Game Pass library. Yep, Hello Games' epic is still a part of the service - and the new Echoes update has already landed for Game Pass players.
In 2022, No Man's Sky received five major updates throughout the year, so, we wouldn't be surprised to see even more updates arrive before 2023 is out. The sky really is the limit!

"Wish Bethesda would have added vehicles to Starfield"
Me: [Looks at Spaceship creator in Starfield] Yeah...me too.
@Moonglow Well the maps in Starfields are most likely not big enough to warrant vehicles, a reason Fallout lacked any sort of vehicle or mount was due to how small the maps actually were. NMS has them because you explore the entire planet something you can't do in Starfield.
Man, I wish I got into No Man's Sky. These days it seems to have such a steady stream of content. I almost feel intimidated by the volume at this point, I should still give it a go though. Those devs have been on an amazing journey.
NMS should be the gold standard for devs to follow on how to treat your fan base. It started rough (boy did it ever), but has continued to not only improve but also release a plethora of FREE DLCs, on top of the free Expeditions.
Don't be afraid to jump in. The game parses out quests. Some overlap but others don't start until your further along in tht game. If you check your "Log" menu you can switch between any active quest. Not to mention there are several layers to the game you can spend hours developing completely unrelated to quests.
