There's still a little while to go until August, but we've already got three games confirmed for Xbox Game Pass next month! All three were featured as part of the recent ID@Xbox Showcase, so they're definitely locked in for August.
These are three pretty big additions to Xbox Game Pass as well, with The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Sea of Stars being brand-new launches, and Everspace 2 coming to Xbox Series X and Series S for the first time.
Lots more games will be announced for next month in due time, but for now, here's a bit more information on each of these three August 2023 Xbox Game Pass additions:

Everspace 2 (August 15th)
"Experience an exciting sci-fi story set in a vivid, handcrafted open world full of secrets, puzzles, and perils.Take flight in nine different ship classes to set out and explore over 100 handcrafted areas scattered across multiple star systems."
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (August 18th)
"Take on the role of one of the notorious Slaughter family, or their victims, in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, a third-person asymmetrical horror experience based on the groundbreaking and iconic 1974 horror film. Experience the mad and macabre for yourself in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre."
Sea of Stars (August 29th)
"Sea of Stars is a turn-based RPG inspired by the classics. It tells the story of two Children of the Solstice who will combine the powers of the sun and moon to perform Eclipse Magic, the only force capable of fending off the monstrous creations of the evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer."
Of course, don't forget that we've got many more Xbox Game Pass titles to come in July as well, and we're expecting more of them to be announced at some point next week. Hopefully it'll be a busy end to the month!

The only thing that interests me this August on Game Pass is Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Hopefully we got some other brilliant titles. PS are legit pumping brilliant games on their service.
@Sifi
That is true for this month, especially SnowRunner which I am loving on Xbox
Hopefully with the price increase now gamepass is going get a lot better soon and this is a great start
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre day one for me
Sea of Stars for me, even though I’ll be honest, August is probably going to be an off month for me starting new titles. I’ll need to wrap up FF16, Oxenfree 2, and Pikmin 4 before I start Starfield (unless Starfield ends up being the next Redfall, in which case I revise that statement to “before I start Cocoon”). There’s a couple indies I’m eyeing outside Game Pass too (Wrestlequest, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, Fort Solis, and Under the Waves, perhaps more), but, unless they review in a stellar fashion, I may skip starting anything new next month. I have a feeling Sea of Stars will review in stellar fashion, given my experience with the demo though.
GamePass the gift that keeps on giving😁....Can't wait to try Everspace 2 and Sea of Stars of course 😀.
I loved Chained Echoes earlier in the year so will be playing Sea of Stars for sure.
@Sol4ris I have Everspace 2 on PC and it's damn good. There are some frustrating difficulty spikes here and there, but it is pretty addictive. Enough to keep you busy for a while at least.
@Sifi I generally agree, especially with all the Bethesda games going onto PS plus, but credit where it is due, Rogue Legacy 2, Tchia and Inscryption have been great adds not on gamepass. I still prefer gamepass offerings, especially since I already had Inscryption and Tchia did not really hit for me, but ps has improved. I hope Rogue Legacy 2 comes to gamepass!
@ymo1965
Thank you for the info, I've played the first game extensively and the sequel seems to be even better.
@RentedPanda Humanity has been the big hit for PS+ this year, imo. Best new game to hit either service, totally unique.
I really wish Tchia would’ve been better. It felt like it could’ve been the big family game of the year, but ended up feeling sort of like something made by someone really competent in Dreams.
@Sol4ris If you don't mind some spoilers then check it out on youtube. Customizing your ships is good fun too.
Everspace 2 looks phenomenal, like 10x the budget of the first game, I can't wait. And Sea of Stars looks really special. Those 2 games alone, what a month for game pass.
@Sifi
Definitely looking forward to these titles day one.
@somnambulance
I'll have to check out Humanity, I missed it. I have ps4, not 5, so most of my gaming is on my series S. I check on PS when I see releases I was looking forward to, like Rogue Legacy 2 and Sackboy
I have Sea of Stars preordered for next week, even though I hate turn based games except Pokemon type.
