The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is one of our most anticipated titles for next month, and its inclusion in Xbox Game Pass is only adding to our excitement! We're looking forward to digging in on day one this August, and it looks like the team has plans well beyond this launch too.
In an interview with outlet MP1ST, the development team at Gun Interactive was asked about its DLC / microtransaction intentions, to which it responded about plans to work on a more traditional DLC model.
"We’ve discussed this [DLC] internally. There’s pros and cons to that model. As of right now we’re looking at a more traditional DLC plan without a [battle] pass."
The team didn't mention any sort of pricing plan for this or whether there'll be a 'season pass' of sorts, but it does sound like we may see premium expansions to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre rather than smaller updates supplemented by paid cosmetic DLC, as is the norm for multiplayer games these days.
What we do know about is how the title is going to perform on both Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. Earlier this week the team confirmed the game's planned performance modes at launch, which you can check out down below.
