As part of this week's Forza Monthly livestream — which also dropped brand-new Forza Motorsport details — Playground Games has introduced its latest Forza Horizon 5 series update; dubbed 'Summer Party'.
This latest content drop for Forza Horizon 5 includes your typical set of new vehicles, arriving via the game's Festival Playlist, alongside a new 'Horizon Story' mission set, an updated stadium layout and even a longer night-time cycle following player feedback.
The new "Icons of Speed" Horizon Story features eight playable missions, starting once the summer season rolls around in-game. Here's a brief description of the new story:
"Across 8 chapters, team up with Alejandra, the head mechanic at the Horizon Festival, and experience iconic cars across the history of racing as you inspire her spark once more!"
To drive home this update's summer theme, the team has revamped the stadium area to feature "summer-style ramps and smashable props", and they've even added "smashable Ice Cream Cone collectibles" in and around the Playa Azul beach. It's officially summer time in Horizon Mexico!
If you want to read up even further on the upcoming series update, a new Forza blog post has all the nitty gritty info and detailed patch notes ahead of the 'Summer Party' arrival in Forza Horizon 5.

Might have to boot it up again, been busy with Deliver Us Mars but wrapping that atm.
Do love cruising in FH in the warm sunshine, so a Summer Party vibe might be just want I need after the windy / rainy weather in much of the rally DLC
Does anyone else just play through FH games with the sound down or is it just me? I would much rather listen to a podcast or music than listen to whatever cringe-inducing, badly-acted dialogue Playground has cooked up this time. Don't get me wrong, the games are great and I'll take any excuse to jump back in for more races or hunting down collectables... but the stories are just atrocious. I hope to all that is holy that Fable is a considerable step up from FH story dross.
@Markatron84 The dialog added to the motoring festival feeling in 1 & 2. Since then the game has felt a lot more ‘videogamey’ and ruined the illusion. The seasons completely ruined the idea as it meant that after a year of weekly season rotations apparently the Horizon Festival has been running for 12 years!
