Nightdive Studios' System Shock remake has been long-in-the-making, with the game finally launching on PC platforms today, May 30th. While the console version is not yet dated, rest assured, System Shock is still planned for Xbox.
System Shock Xbox Release Date
Heading over to the game's Kickstarter page, the team provided us with a small update on the matter when it announced its PC launch plans back in March. Back then, it reiterated that an Xbox version was coming, but they were still yet to lock down a console release date.
"Console editions of System Shock will release on PlayStation 4|5 and Xbox One and Series S|X in due course; more details on this when we have them."
As far as we can tell, the developer hasn't changed its messaging around the console release since this update, and it seems that they're waiting to get the PC version out of the door before committing to any sort of timeline for an Xbox and PlayStation launch.
We hope to hear more from the team soon, because early PC reviews are looking pretty solid right now, with game sitting at a 75 on Metacritic at the time of writing. The series has never made its way to Xbox, so we're very much looking forward to giving System Shock remake a go when it launches!
Is this an upcoming Xbox title you'd like to try out? Let us know!

I am looking forward to this. I never managed to play the original and although it's been getting some critique for not modernising that's what I want to experience!
System Shock 2 was really compelling, and it drew me into its world and gameplay systems more than Bioshock did (the latter was still great).
SS1 is pretty rough around the edges by today's standards, though. It'll be great if this remake makes a classic more approachable without sacrificing its core identity- but I still hope to finish the original first!
"In due course." So, about three years from never. Lol.
I will be picking this up later today. Very excited to check it out!
