Forza Horizon 5 will move onto its Series 21 update on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC this week, and the team's 'Explore the Horizon' update is looking like one of the biggest yet.
The headline feature is a re-worked photo mode that adds tons of new options for the car photography enthusiasts out there. From Series 21, you'll be able to adjust the time of day & weather, alter the wheel angles and guidelines, change your character position within the car and enable their emotes within photo mode - alongside being able to take advantage of new photo mode presets and the ability to view your images in portrait view. That's a lot of new options!
Elsewhere, the team is rolling out its 'unique overlanding modification' to more trucks in the Explore the Horizon update. This is a body kit feature that was exclusive to a vehicle from the Rally Adventure expansion, and it'll soon be applicable to 16 trucks across the base game.
Of course, as usual the new update will refresh the game's Festival Playlist, adding a new vehicle to earn each week throughout the four-week series. This month's new rides are the 2019 DeBerti Ford Super Duty F-250 Lariat 'Transformer', the 1986 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat, the 1972 Chevrolet K-10 Custom and the 2022 GMC HUMMER EV Pickup. Oh, and there's one bonus car this month. Anyone who logs in and checks this update out from May 24th through June 22nd can grab two 'Cupra EVs' through the in-game messages tab.
This is a chunky update, then, and one that's sure to please the Forza Horizon 5 community - especially those keen on fully exploring the game's photo mode. 'Explore the Horizon' kicks off on Thursday, May 25th.

@grumpypotato In Forza Horizon you get rewards for capturing photos. So while it may not be great for sharing images it does hold a purpose in game if you want a few extra rewards.
Is it worth buying the treasure map or the car pass?
Sounds like a nice update. I've only been playing a couple of months, so this season I'll be looking to make a serious go of it!
@Ephexis83 The treasure map? No, just look locations of Smash Boards up online if you need to.
The Car Pass doesn’t do it for me as well, but along with the total upgrade that also boasts the Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure expansions - well, that’s quite a good deal.
