The official AEW video game is almost here! AEW: Fight Forever has today received a June 29th, 2023 release date for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S (along with other platforms), as announced by AEW star Kenny Omega.
In a statement, Omega said the game had "exceeded my highest expectations":
"Thanks to our incredible collaboration with Geta, YUKE’s and THQ Nordic, a new era of professional wrestling gaming is quickly approaching. AEW: Fight Forever has exceeded my highest expectations, and I’m confident that June 29 will be a momentous day for wrestling fans and gamers alike.”
We also now know that AEW: Fight Forever will be retailing at £49.99 / $59.99, with pre-orders reportedly going live at some point later today.
In AEW: Fight Forever, you can look forward to an arcade style of gameplay that takes inspiration from the classic WWF No Mercy for Nintendo 64, featuring a bunch of match types (including Exploding Barbed Wire Death Matches!), a career mode, various customisation modes, online multiplayer and more.
