It's been confirmed today as part of the announcement of a Starfield Developer Direct on June 11th that the Xbox Games Showcase will also take place on the same day, with the Starfield portion coming after the main event.
This is the annual E3-style show that Xbox (and Bethesda) always provides for us, and we're hoping we might get a glimpse at lots of upcoming games including Forza Motorsport, Hellblade 2 and Avowed during the event.
For now, Microsoft has yet to confirm an official start time or any other details about the Xbox Games Showcase for 2023, but we'll hopefully find out about this very soon. Keep in mind that June 11th is a Sunday!
We'll let you know more information as and when we get it.

Very much looking forward to this. Some imminent release date announcements would be good to hear...
A new Ninja Gaiden would be great. Me and the wife really enjoy the big showcases from ms, Sony and Nintendo each year.
The good news is that the showcase will be full of upcoming games.
Because that's the only kind of game Microsoft ever talks about. Games that are upcoming.
Soon.
They promise.
You know, seriously they ARE coming.
At some point.
Eventually.
Maybe in the next 12 months.
There's absolutely no way they're going to make that first half of 2023 then so it's yet another delay
Oh just seen the article below this one lol , yeah September's later than their promised release schedule
@Kaloudz I surely hope so!
But I have a huuuge backlog, so any delays will give me time to catch up!
Hopefully they ditch that next 12 month bullcrap and show some cgi trailers to generate some type of hype for all these darn studios they have.
MS it's time to start delivering.
They wont but it'd be great to know what each studio was working on and how far along they are.
I don't need specifics just "gears of war project is months/year/years/generation away"
@fizban3332 It's wild they have, what 23 studios? (excluding support studios like the 3 other Bethesdas, and the Activision studios they don't own yet) and we only have a few games floating somewhere over the horizon.
Super excited for this. Me, cousin and brother meet every year to watch the show together and share some hot dogs and beer.
@Moonglow Legends looks like it could be doing some really interesting things with rts. Not sure how popular that will be mainstream, but I'm excited for it.
I liked dungeons until I ran out of arrows and couldn't play my ranged multi shot build. They said it would be gear creating the character class and being based on minecraft, which has infinite possibilities, dungeons felt very limited. Maybe it's a bit harsh, but I just didn't stick with it very long.
Good stuff. I'll definitely be tuning in.
@Kaloudz unlikely but I would think a ghostwire Tokyo drop is likely that day…
@abe_hikura one might think that Microsoft is holding its cards tight to their chest until the ABK thing is resolved. Hard to claim being a tiny company when you are pushing out mega games every month… there is going to be an explosion of games and then the inevitable price increase of Gamepass…
Damn, A Xbox Games Showcase and a Starfield Direct on the same day.. Let's Goooo
@Kaloudz wasn’t Hi Fi rush shadow dropped on an event day…. Just guessing….
@BrilliantBill Setting my alarm for Feb 2024 to wake you from hibernation
At least someone's carrying the E3 torch!
Why are all the exciting shows have to happen when I am going to be out of the country for the summer?
A whole hour of game announcements for games that will be released in 2027 lmao
@abe_hikura remember the 2019 trailer-fest? How many of those games even have RELEASE DATES?
Didn't they say Forza Motorsport would be a spring release? Is June spring?
