Xbox has announced today that the Elite Series 2 Wireless Controller is now available to purchase in additional blue or red colour options, although this is specifically for the cheaper "Core" version of the controller.
Pre-orders have begun for both of these colour variants on the Xbox Store at a price of £124.99 / $139.99, and if you want the full Xbox Elite Controller experience, you can add to it with a separate Component Pack for £49.99 / $59.99.
As we highlighted last year, here's the difference between the normal and "Core" versions of the controller:

We'll throw some more details about the new variants along with some images down below. Don't forget that Xbox Design Lab also allows you to make a custom Elite Controller nowadays, so there's more choice than ever!
"Introducing the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 – Core, now in red and blue. We expanded the core version of the Xbox Elite Series 2 lineup to give gamers more options to play like a pro. Play in style with just the components you need to unleash your best game."

Lookin' fire. Still gotta get me one of these elite cores. Someday!
Would rather have the Halo Version or an Elite 3.

The red one looks beautiful 🙂
@Bleachedsmiles Different Xbox division. Hardware vs Software but you can keep on keeping on.
Already have the white one and enjoying.
@Scummbuddy thanks for the permission buddy 👍
@Bleachedsmiles Painting plastic is not the same as developing a game lol
@Bleachedsmiles Technically, vibration = haptics, it's literally just an industry term for handheld device feedback.
Not really sure what the point of your comment is either, all 3 industry giants often go months between major releases.
I just dislike the back of the controller being white while the front is blue, red or pink or whatever. It looks lazy, unfinished and just bad. Is it that hard to color the back like a red or Blue PS5 controller does? Granted i don’t love the PS5 controller all that much, but when i bought a black one the back of it was black not white. Another reason i still with the stock all black Series X controller, it looks cleaner.
@Green-Bandit Yeah, I would much rather get a design labs controller if I wanted an Elite that isn't just plain black or white. I guess this is just a low-cost option for people who want something different.
@JayJ point being xbox is the only platform I’ve known of that announces and releases more controllers than actual games…and wouldn’t it be nice if that wasn’t the case 🤷🏻
Technically yes, but let’s not pretend ignorance that the term ‘haptic feedback’ has been coined with the inclusion of Xbox controllers in mind, eh?
Haptic feedback when taken advantage of adds more to gaming than you’re experiencing in the same game on Xbox. Giving Xbox users an option to enjoy that would be welcomed
@JayJ yeah good point J, just not great looking to me, which sucks cause some of them are great colors, but that all white back just stinks HAHA , first world problems i know.
only problem I have with elite series 2 controllers is they are heavy and the bumpers break relatively fast compared to regular xbox controllers

@Green-Bandit Yeah, not a fan of that look either, especially with the grips being black. They would have looked better with a black back IMO if they couldn't go all one color for some reason.
@JayJ man i agree, that can’t be that hard, i mean sony has all one color, so this is either being lazy and cheap or someone has a bad sense of style. Have not and will not buy one of these unless it’s all one color. So i am sticking to the all black stock for the moment.

Can we just have the halo version please
@mac01208 really? I’ve had no issues with mine. Are some people too rough?
If Microsoft released a clear green one would buy it tomorrow.
What in the world could someone say to have their comments deleted in here.
@Peete it Def does. Already have the white core so I cant justify it but i want it lol
