Update: The leak was right! WWE 2K23 officially arrives on Xbox consoles this March.
Original Story: If you're a big wrestling fan, then you'll want to mark your calendar for March, as it looks like WWE 2K23 will be coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on March 17th, 2023 — at least according to a new leak.
This was revealed by Aggiornamenti Lumia on Twitter earlier today before being deleted, along with an image of cover art featuring John Cena, and various websites and social media users have been sharing it ever since. (Update: 2K appears to be working diligently to remove the image where possible, including in the deleted tweet below).
2K has been teasing a big reveal for WWE 2K23 on social media over the past 24 hours as well, and it was reported by Insider Gaming last week that a special event is taking place on January 28th, so we should hear more very soon.
In the meantime, WWE 2K22 is currently heavily discounted as part of the Xbox Lunar New Year Sale 2023 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, and it comes highly recommended - we had great things to say in our review!

I think I'm going to need an overhaul of the universe mode, last year's one is still buggy. The raw gameplay is great, the myrise was decent.
@Kaloudz it's something sports games have been putting a lot of hype into over the last few years, probably to cover up the lack of innovation alot of these yearly releases have.
As long as they made the MyGM mode deeper this time around, then I'll consider getting this at some point. Add the other titles and the ability to do more match types (triple thread, even mixed tags, etc.) and that will go a long way to improving the mode. The option to play against somebody else online in MyGM mode along with the already there couch co-op would be great too.

@Kaloudz I think its just a nice and cheap way of generating headlines without actually doing anything.
@KilloWertz You mean as long as they Remove MYGM mode completely and use that space for more actual wrestling and create-a-character with new moves and more slow motion finishing moves...
Last one was a great step in the right direction. A few improvements here and there and it could be great. Here's hoping we get a better MyRise and MyGM.
@NarutosBiggestFan Noo! I love MyGM, it's the main mode I've been playing in WWE 2K22 over the past year.
WWE 2K22´s cover is the best ever in my opinion. And they really nailed it with everything from gameplay to the graphics. So let´s see what they will improve on this year!
@FraserG I get that its a cool concept to run your own show, but i just want to wrestle. I want to play the characters and see their moves, not plan a show.
I’m only interested if there’s a career mode where I can play as Vince and main event Wrestlemania, get forced to step down by the board, then fight my way back to sell my company. I’d buy day 1.
Incredibly ballsy for them to have no cover star whatsoever. Just WWE 2K23 with a blank space underneath it!
2K22 was a huge improvement. So hopefully 23 can maintain the momentum.
@FraserG Whats going on with AEW Fight Forever I thought that was coming out before WWE 2K23.
@NarutosBiggestFan Not at all. They should improve upon it. It's a very popular mode. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's not or that it should be removed.
@Tasuki It's still on the way, although there are rumours it's hit a few hurdles recently behind the scenes.
