Fancy 30 free days of HBO Max? Well, if you're lucky and you happen to spot a promotional ad for the service as part of Microsoft Rewards, you'll be able to claim your free trial! However, it appears to be limited to the US alone.
Here's what you need to do:
- On a mobile device, navigate to https://rewards.bing.com/
- Sign into your Xbox account
- Under the "Earn" tab, look for the HBO Max promotional banner
You can view what it looks like down below:
If you can see the image displayed above, then you just need to search for anything using the Bing search engine on Microsoft Edge for three days, and you should then be able to claim your free 30 days of HBO Max.
As this promotion appears to be very new, it hasn't yet been determined whether the free trial is for the ad-supported version of HBO Max, or whether it's for the Ad-Free version. At first glance, it appears to be the former.
Here at Pure Xbox, the majority of the team unfortunately can't access this promotion as we're based in the UK, so we're interested to know how you get on with it. Has it shown up for you? We want your feedback!

For the people in UK. If you have Sky with even a basic package then you access most of the HBO shows including last of us on Sky Boxsets or even the Sko Go app.
HBO sucks, so no. Anyone who does this, disable auto renew.
I’m in the UK and we have Virgin TV, which doesn’t have access to Sky Atlantic. I’m so gutted 😞
unfortunately in the Uk you will have to use NOW tv as sky has the rights to HBO content
If you want to watch it all Season 1 ends on 13th March so ideally wait 3 more weeks to get it all.
@Kaloudz HOTD is a slow burn, but I felt once it got going it was brilliant. By the end of the Season I was dying for more.
@Kaloudz I thought so, and others I know felt the same. But you may feel differently. It IS very political, even more so that Game of Thrones.
@Kaloudz Reminds me of recent xkcd. https://xkcd.com/2727/
Any idea if The Last of Us will eventually release as a boxset in dvd format? I’d rather watch it that way as I don’t have Sky and don’t want to watch it on NOW TV. I also hope HBO don’t renew their deal with Sky in 2025 as that’s the reason why UK and Europe don’t have HBO Max but surely at $15.99 a month, HBO stand to make a lot more money in subscriptions if they released the HBO Max app in Europe?
