So, the rumoured event for January has been announced! Xbox and Bethesda will be hosting a livestream on January 25th where the development studios themselves will walk us through deep dives into the likes of Forza Motorsport and Redfall, and apparently that's just the beginning of a "big year" for the Xbox team.
Following the reveal, VP of Xbox Games Marketing Aaron Greenberg took to Twitter to reveal a bit more about the livestream, calling the idea "a new approach" with no hosts unlike a typical Xbox event:
"It’s going to be a big year for us, it starts on January 25th as we take you inside our studios to see some of the games coming to Xbox/PC/Game Pass over next few months."
"A new approach with no hosts, to share the magic of being inside our studios seeing extended gameplay & hearing directly from the dev teams working hard on some of the games coming for you."
The announcement mentioned that we'll hear about "games coming to Xbox, PC and Game Pass over the next few months", and in regards to the latter, the Game Pass Twitter account has advised fans to not miss the event:
Ultimately, we're hoping that alongside the extended gameplay showcases for these upcoming first-party titles, we might actually get some release dates as well. Hopefully we'll finally hear more about GoldenEye 007 too, which was announced as "coming soon" to Xbox Game Pass a while ago, but we've heard nothing since.
