Microsoft has officially announced February 2023's Xbox Games with Gold, giving us a look at a couple more games we'll be able to play at no extra cost with our Xbox Live Gold memberships next month.
The highlight of the bunch is arguably strategic RPG For The King, which has a pretty great 84 Metacritic rating for Xbox One (based on 5 reviews), while the other addition is the wacky sports game, Guts 'N Goals.
Obviously there's still a disappointment that we're not getting any major AAA releases with Xbox Games With Gold anymore, but then again we weren't exactly expecting any to be included as part of the February 2023 lineup. Oh well!
Let us know how you're feeling about February 2023's Xbox Games With Gold below.

Quite frankly I just don't bother with GwG anymore. Quite frankly it makes MS look stupid and is an insult to us players, especially when you compare what Sony is giving their players.
Yeah it's better than Hi-Fi Rush
GwG are just an insult to subscribers. Put it out of it's misery and merge it all into GP. It hurts seeing it struggle.
@Chaudy
Your joking right?
While I almost never bother with GwG, For The King is an exceptional game. I already own the game on Switch, PS and PC so it looks like I'm completing the set.
If you have any liking for a turn-based rpg/strategy tabletop style game I would give it a shot and don't be deceived by the graphics - this game provides a real challenge.
Clearly people hate just because they wanna hate. They don't even give the games a chance. For the King is EXCELLENT, and I will try the other one too for sure.
@Chaudy you must be joking right!?
@partymarty @dreamcaster9999 yes lol. Hi-Fi Rush is fantastic a completely different league to this
They’re throw away games compared to GamePass next month (including Atomic Heart). But, yeah, For the King is a great indie game. And the other one has good reviews on Steam. So first month in a while that I’m interested in both games.
For the King is something I’ve been wanting to buy.
Happy with For the King
For the King is great for people into a tabletop and strategy RPGs.
I think I tried it while it was on Game Pass. Didn't gel with me but it's not typically my genre I just liked the art style.
The trouble with Gold is always that Game Pass massively overshadows it. For the King maybe a decent game, but i'm not going to prioritise it over the dozens of games on Game Pass.
Meanwhile PS Plus is rumoured to be getting Mafia Definitive Edition, Evil Dead The Game, OlliOlli World and Destiny 2 DLC. Xbox are taking the p*ss by giving us nonstop indie games. I know I sound entitled but Sony is clearly handing out games worth playing.
Meanwhile GamePass is giving us big new games in February like Atomic Heart. To me GP is where it’s at and kills the competition. So each system has their ups and downs.
Yes, GWG is stupid. BUT I've wanted to play For the King for years and have never gotten around to it. So I'm not complaining.
For The King is an okay game... but it also goes on sale fairly frequently and was already on Game Pass at one point. The number of people who are interested & don't already have it is probably not many. Another case where if you actually owned the game instead of still needing Gold to play it, it might actually have been a good thing. But eh.
Why the hell are they still doing games with gold when it gets trash like this?
Trash as always. Bring back 360 games to gwg and I'll re-subscribe.
