Think I will have to buy Hard Reset redux at that bargain bin price. Haven't heard of it before but looks good from gameplay videos.
@Cyberpsycho Hard Reset is definitely worth $2. I played it on PC a while ago. The visuals and the gunplay are very good. Hidden gem.
@Trmn8r Good to know thanks
@Cyberpsycho If you enjoyed Shadow Warrior, this is that same Dev (Flying Wild Hog). This was their first game (that they redux'ed the same year SW2 came out) and they built Shadow Warrior off of this engine. So, you'll see a lot of the same gameplay mechanics, just in a cyberpunk setting.
I bought Red Dead Redemption 2. We'll see what all the fuss is about.
@NintendoByNature Let us know what you think about the controls. I haven't bought it because of that.
@NintendoByNature It's a masterpiece, especially if you have a Series X.
@Banjo- oh boy didn't know controls were a problem. However, if I can get used to the tank controls in older RE games, I'm sure I'll be able to manage after a few hours.
@ZYDIO I got a series S, but still excited to see how it runs and performs. Might be a little bit before I fire up the game though.
@NintendoByNature Apparently, it's the weird buttons map that can't be changed 😅.
@Trmn8r I just picked it up because it was the insanely low price of free.... I mean $1.99. Basically the same thing at that point. I'm glad I did because everywhere I look it seems like everyone enjoyed it.
@NintendoByNature I'm sure it runs just as well on a Series S probably just lower resolution. I suggest playing part one first. It's an Xbox 360 game, but it is enhanced for the newer consoles. Actually I'm not 100% sure which consoles, I just know that on a 1X or a Series X the graphics are upgraded to 4K and 60 FPS. So I'm going to assume it's at least 1440p and 60 FPS on a Series S.
@Banjo- I think I forgot about the button layout after about 5 minutes because the game is so good and even now I don't even remember anything about a button layout being odd, so it must not have been that big a deal for me. Definitely not a deal breaker. Just to refresh my memory, what was odd about the button layout?
@ZYDIO Useful comments. Actually, I don't know, I just read comments about it. Is Red Dead Redemption 2 60 fps on Series X? I'm more interested in this than in Cyberpunk 2077 for example. I played the Cyberpunk 2077 trial and I didn't like the gun play.
@Banjo- I can't remember now if I played Red Dead Redemption 2 on my 1X or Series X, but I do know it was in 4K/30. I can't remember for sure what they were but I do remember there were some graphics options and I don't remember any of them being 60 FPS. I know what you mean about Cyberpunk 2077. It just feels different than most first person games. It does feel a lot better with the last update and 60 FPS.

That's a link showing how it plays and performs on a Series S. I didn't watch the whole video I just skimmed through it but it seems to have a lot of gameplay.
@ZYDIO Thanks. I might get both Red Dead Redemption games eventually. I like the setting.
@Banjo- You will not be disappointed. I suggest getting the version of part one that includes undead nightmare.
@ZYDIO good stuff I'll take a look
@FraserG every time you use the Mad Max photo for the article I think the moment has finally come for a sequel and every time I get disappointed. 😔
@ZYDIO I've played rdr2 on PS4 and there was nothing odd with the button layout. It was something I was used to. Had no issues with it.
@ZYDIO I think it might be better to play rdr2 first then rdr1. Rdr2 is a prequel to the first game, so thought it might make sense to play from where the story begins.
@CutchuSlow I totally forgot about that but it makes sense. At the same time though I'm one of those people that tries to experience things in the order they were released, because it seems that's the way the Creator intended.
@Tharsman Sorry
